Hurray for manga!

I was thinking of dropping my CR membership because I'd learned through boring experience that CR's anime is mostly deadly childish. It's fitted to its intended audience, sure, but luckily manga has a broad enough audience in Japan for some grownup stories to be found in it.

I've read many great grownup stories in scanlated manga, now MAYBE I'll find them here.

Or will CR select only kids' stuff in its manga lineup too?

I'll stick around and see.

Koe no Kotachi is one of the best manga to come out in a long time, I'm really glad they picked it up. Especially because it's become a popular series while dealing with an extremely taboo subject in Japan(bringing to light bullying, discrimination, disabilities, classroom politics).

It's a definite must-read.

You should try reading Spirit Circle and Inside Mari, two series that are absolutely not only kids series. Fortress of the Apocalypse is fairly messed up, as well.

Spirit Circle may have a shounen-esque artstyle much like Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, but the story, artwork detail and topics it deals with are definitely not kid-friendly. That said, it's incredibly well-written for a paranormal mystery series. Spirit Circle, I'm in Mari, Attack on Titan, Koe no Kotachi, Soredemo Machi are all top-shelf series I wouldn't mind having physical copies of. Fortress of the Apocalypse is a bit less high-quality but the combination of a Left 4 Dead-style group of survivor misfits with Resident Evil-style horrifying mutant rapidly evolving zombie monsters(seriously, the human-dog zombies give me the creeps) makes for a hell of a ride.

Hurry up and pick up I Am A Hero and Boys on the Run, Crunchyroll!

I've seen all the above except 'Fortress of the Apocalypse', and they are all so unique and creative I'm amazed. When I discover something like these stories, and especially "I Am a Hero", I become instantly happy that I happened to stumble onto manga a while ago. Is there anything like them in comics from the USA? I doubt it.

CR, please bring us 'I Am a Hero' !!

Question what does

We will be launching with the FULL CATALOG, with simulpub starting on April 8, at 4pm Pacific Time

mean when it says the series will be launching midnight? I'm confused...
EDIT: Never mind ANN's article clarified the chapters thus far for Koe no Katachi and Arslan will be added tonight at midnight while the first simulpub chapter will start April 8. Phew.

I was intrigued by Koe no Katachi, and frankly speaking, I loved it. It instantly became one of my favorite reads as soon as I read it. I'm happy I started it up.

a silent voice is an amazing series and very moving. I never expected myself to be so immersed to actually argue with other readers
