I'm excited for Ao Haru Ride! I may be mistaken, but it feels like there haven't been any shoujo anime for quite a while...
Plus, it's another shoujo anime done by Production I.G. I really like their work, so I'm looking forward to it!

Are you watching The World is Still Beautiful? It is shoujo and really good!

There hasn't been much shoujo lately as it doesn't sell well lately. Sukitte and Tonari no Kaibutsukun most recently, Kamisama Hajimemashite too.

I too am looking forward to Ao Haru Ride and hope it does well.

It lists Sailor Moon Crystal as 26 eps @ 30 mins each.

26 episodes is a strange length for a series that streams twice per month, as it means a run time of 13 months.

Does it stream twice a month, or fortnightly? Fortnightly would be an even year.

We should find out the month after the premiere, as August has 5 Saturdays.

To nail down the pattern, however, we would have to wait until September. If it is truly every other week, it would actually air on the second and fourth Saturday that month.

They could be doing a hybrid, always streaming on the first and third Saturday, but adding an extra episode if their is a 5th Saturday (which would also mean only a one week gap between it and the next one).

In the articles that confirmed the premiere date and time, both ANN and CR reported it as streaming on the first and third Saturdays of each month, but in their article confirming the 26 episode listing, they also state, "It will stream worldwide every other week for one year...", while repeating the "first and third Saturdays" in the next paragraph.

Yes, the bonus episode approach would have the same number of episodes as fortnightly, so would fit a fortnightly production schedule, while keeping a "first and third Saturday" release schedule.

Another little oddity to watch out for, I guess.

I'm really looking forward to Sailor Moon. Hopefully Crunchy will carry it because if it doesn't I will be sad. (I don't like Nico Nico or whatever they're called these days).

Sword Art Online II

Let once again these battle lines be drawn.

Eleven score and ten days ago anime brought forth a new series, dedicated to the proposition that all men
can be overpowered harem leads. Now we are at war, testing whether such a belief can long endure.

The summer stylemonger and the sunshine status-seeker will, in this crisis, shrink from the service
of their convictions; but they that stand by them now deserve the love and thanks of their generation.

Alone among men those arrayed against us covet with equal eagerness poverty and riches. To robbery,
slaughter, plunder, they give the lying name of criticism; they make a desolation and then call it peace.

We shall fight them to the uttermost, having behind us the viewing masses of the nation and the world.
We shall answer by saying to them: "You shall not crucify mankind upon this cross of your opinion!"

Those who say that they have not the time to attend to this conflict are simply saying that they are unfit to
live in a free community. Nothing worth gaining is ever gained without effort, as we shall here see.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight on the internet, we shall fight on the forums and reddits articles,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength; we shall never surrender this position.

It is folly, and it is cowardice, to give way to evil counsels, to refuse to do anything that you should do,
to listen to the advocates of the enemy’s cause, and to fancy that you by inaction will suffer no harm.

In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom
in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility — I welcome it. Bring it on!

This is the time to speak the truth, frankly and boldly. Let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have
to fear is fear itself--nameless, unreasoning, which paralyzes the conversion of retreat into advance.

This war is not limited to the unfortunate territory of Crunchyroll. This war is a worldwide war. All the mistakes,
all the delays, all the suffering, do not alter the fact that the means exist to crush our enemies one day.

...

So basically lets hope season 2 is not like the last half of season 1 -_- WE WILL NOT TALK ABOUT THE LAST HALF OF SEASON 1. >:(

I briefly had a thought that if Hanamonogatari follows the Monogatari 2nd Season pattern, it would start on CR July 1st(basically a month late). Wouldn't that be something if it would up as a Summer "simulcast" instead of Spring

I doubt Aniplex is going to give a one month exclusive to Daisuki again.

I get the impression from what I read in comments on each episode here on CR and in the forum at the time that many people were unaware of Daisuki having the series, and either went to fansubs or waited for it on CR, or knew Daisuki had it, but still opted to wait for CR (or for some strange reason, opted for fansubs instead of Daisuki).

Is anyone excited to see how well SAO 2 will do, after Log Horizon 2 airs in the fall around the middle of SAO 2?
