To cut a long story short, i started watching one piece dubbed, not realizing how far behind the dubbed was from subbed , up to episode 55, and want to switch to subbed.

What are your opinions? will it be fine? considering new voices etc, will it be easy to get used to?

and what about name changes? to islands, characters etc?

Thanks in advance

Exi.

I don't really think you need advice.

I mean, the only choice you have is to watch sub if there are no more dub.

Unless you just stop watching, which is crazy talk.

lol Sorry, what I mean is of course keep watching. The subs may take an episode or two to get use to. But you have 600 episodes to get use to it. Be 20 in you'll forget you even use to watch dub.

I had to do the same thing with Fairy Tail, was weird at first but I'd say no more than two or three episodes later I wasn't even paying attention to the fact I had started watching it dubbed.

People watch dubs?!

I kid, I kid....

I say go for Subs, "I" generally find them better than their dubbed counterparts, even when it is a good dub.

Also as for getting used to anything... you are only 55 episodes into a like 600 episode series? You will get used to the sub voices and names or whatever else fairly quickly.

Also in my experience after an episode or two you get used to the changes.

I had a similar problem when I caught up to Naruto Shippuden dubs pretty close to the arc that a lot of people said was like the best (the Pain arc). When I switched to subbed, I rewatched the first 3 episodes because I figured that I would spend so much time looking at the words I wouldn't be able to really pay attention to the story itself. After I finished the first 3 episodes I had pretty much gotten used to it and I preferred the subbed version of Naruto to the dubbed version. Now I watch all of my anime subbed!
