This is defiantly something I will be watching! very funny, but yet awesome at same time, and kirto's voice being main guy, it fit for me. I will be looking forward to more, but wow that first episode was really good imo.

Not sure how I feel about this one.

First off I'll say that I really like the art. I love all the vibrant and bright colors. The voice actors are great as well: Kirito's VA and Inori's (Guilty Crown) VA.

But I'm just not too sure how I like the characters and the world. I don't like how they basically have given up on life and don't care about anything except games. It just bugs me. Maybe, this will leave room for a lot of character development?

Also, the world itself just seems weird to me. It almost seems like it's a more glorified version of Oz from Summer Wars except it's reality this time around. Which I guess isn't bad, but I just don't find it that compelling of a world to be honest.

I think I need to give this a few more episodes before a real judgement, but I wasn't too impressed by this intial episode. Though, I know a lot of people are liking it so far so I don't mean to rain on everyone's parade. That's just how I feel

I really like this already. I was really excited about this since I read the little bit of the manga that is translated(which is pretty much only the first episode), I can't wait for more.

This might be interesting. hope Madhouse will redeem for what it did last season.
Note: I am not a fan of 11-year-old panties shot.

Yea, I don't know why they feel they need to do that. Also with Index, Haganai, and many others. Comes with the genre I guess...The rest of us deal with it.

Haha and my paraded has been rained upon, </3...But I wouldnt go as far as too say they have given up on life, from the way I perceive them they are freaking genius, God knows how High their IQ must be, at a certain point when the IQ is just so high normalcy and life becomes mundane and useless as nothing entertains you anymore, and I think that is the point they have reached, if this helps in your judgement?
You saw during the poker he was doing some intense counting cards, to the point of precise probability .

Really enjoyed it so far. I'm not really too concerned about the ecchi, it is what it is and as long as it doesn't kill any of my enjoyment then I'm fine. Other than that I really like the art style so far and it'll be interesting to see more of the characters as time goes on.

^ This. If they keep the fanservice at this episode's levels though I can live with it.

Yeah, I agree, I find it interesting instead. I mean, we say people like them should "get a life", but honestly, isn't the whole problem that they have skills that, despite being very high, are of no practical purpose in our world? Is asking people to necessarily develop skills that they just are not fit for sort of unfair too? My point is, I can relate. Sometimes you can experience something similar with different parts of your country/the world, with different cultures pushing you more or less to live socially rather than stay secluded. Their case is extreme of course, but it makes sense.

Lol, I knew I was going to rain on someone's parade!

I agree that both of them are very smart, but they also both didn't want to do anything with their knowledge and just gave up on the real world, calling it a "bad game." Don't really like that message.

Of course this new world they're in is perfect for them, but they basically did give up on their old lives. Maybe the new world will open their eyes a little and give them perspective, but I don't really see the main characters in a good light right now.

Ah alright I see where you are coming from, hopefully later on the series can change your mind ;].. It isn't an Intense development but hopefully you like it.
But hey you can agree they are adding to the High level (OP) MC's of this season :P, which should be somewhat of a win in your book.

Thanks for understanding! I'll see how it all turns out, but as of now I'm not liking the characters' mentalities.

And yes, I do like powerful main characters whether it's brains or brawns, or somewhere in between. So maybe I'll like him later down the road.

I really like this episode. The main characters are very likeable and the premise of the show is very interesting how a brother and sister who are both serious gamers then end up in a world were the rules apply to a game. I don't think if seen anything quite like it and I know there have been quite a few game style anime. The animation was something different so I can't really say if I liked it or not, but with the next few episodes I may end up thinking it's amazing. The ecchi didn't really bother me tbh. It wasn't overkill like a High School of the Dead or Rosario+Vampire so if they keep it at the level of this episode then I don't have any issues with it.

Who else is OP for anime in this seasons releases? I like characters that can handle themselves.
