Use this as a board to suggest shows for others to watch.
Just post the name of the Anime, why you liked it, and if its on crunchyroll.

My personal suggestion would be Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in the Summer)

It's one of the far better Slice of Life ones out there. The characters are lovable, and the development of them is amazing.
It's a bit of a tear jerker, but is definitely worth a watch. One of my Favoites.

And it is on Crunchyroll.

Kannazuki no Miko - One of the first yuri, and it almost made me cry.

Samurai 7 - Akira Kurosawa's classic, now in ANIME FORM, complete with awesome mechs, and a great score to boot!

Karas - I don't have to explain this one.

Legend of Black Heaven - Again, see for yourself on this one.

Gatchaman Crowds

Not so sure if it's considered popular, but it's a more recent anime. I watched the first couple of episodes on another website and got hooked. Just found out it IS on Crunchyroll, so I'm happy.
The idea of the story I find quite interesting so far as well as the unique and loveable characters. The visuals are very pretty as well.

Guilty Crown

It's about a year old now and i don't think its popular (well not where i live anyway) What i liked about it? It's just the perfect balance of everything. The romance was great yet not too intense, the mix of action and school life was great and didn't hinder the suspense that was part of the anime. The main characters are quiet loveable and it feels as if you bond with them. All in all its a definite anime to watch!

Alright, here comes my list :3 *loads his Myanimelist* (Not sure about if they are/were populair, just putting them out there!)

-Ore no Nounai Sentakushi ga, Gakuen Love Comedy wo Zenryoku de Jama Shiteiru-

I think the English translation was something along: My mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy!

(Yes the title is ridiculously long..)

I watched this when it was first released, I loved this anime because it was completely, outstandly HILARIOUS yet it also had some slight romance to it and the complete randomness was totally my style. IT'S REALLY RANDOM, WORDS CAN NOT DESCRIBE! :3
It was only 10 ep long or so, so I was really sad when I watched the last episode.. "That moment when you finish an anime T-T"
And yes, it is on Crunchy!

-Sunday Without God- (Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi)

I think it's quite old, I found it on Crunchy and it was already finished and some of my friends seemed to already have heard of it/finished watching it. I liked it because it was an interesting concept and at the end of 1 of the first eps, I was crying 'cause some moments were so sad. (.. Yeah I'm a total softie guy when it comes to Anime)
And as I said, it is on Crunchy!

-Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?- (Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren't They?)

(And another ridiculous long title, yay!)

I recently found this one, I think a friend of mine said it's about a year old. The reason I like it, is because it contains fighting, funny moments and some pervy comments now and than. Also the responses that the main characters made in their conversations, were very relateable to me xD Also the OP totally hooked me and now I can't stop listening to it! Also the male main character might just be my new fav male anime character ever, 'cause of his power and attitude.

This one is on Crunchy ^^

Just 1 more, got quite a few others but you'll be suck of me by now I bet! xD

-Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai- (Unbreakable Machine Doll)

Althought I think it's quite populair, I just wanna make sure people have watched it!
It's a really good anime in my opinion, it contains epic fighting scenes, yet also alot of humoristic moments and nicely thought up theories to fight his opponent or solve a problem. (the main character that is)

I'm not sure if it's on Crunchy, but I don't think so, but it's definitely worth watching!

Alright, that's all.. FOR NOW o.o

Thanks for reading ^^ Hf watching anime peopz!

Another good one is, well "Another".

It's one of those darker anime, but it actually has a really good plot. I can't really say much about the plot without spoiling anything, but it is on Crunchyroll and I strongly recommend it.

I'm going to say something about this show, before it hits it's unbelievable amount of hype.

~Anime: No Game No Life
~Genre: Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Ecchi
~Publisher: Media Factory
~Quick Synopsis:
Siblings Sora and Shiro are a pair of hikikomori NEETs who together form 『 』 (Kūhaku (空白?, lit. "blank space")), an undefeated online gamer and urban legend. They both consider the real world to be a "crappy game". They are summoned by a boy calling himself "God" to a fantasy world where he has forbidden all violence and warfare between the sixteen intelligent races living there; instead, everything is decided by games. The siblings find themselves the would-be saviors of humanity (Imanity), who rank sixteenth among the races and have been confined to their sole remaining city.

Don't get discouraged by the Ecchi tag (I've read reviews of people saying it will be shit because of the tag). From what I know of the series, the Ecchi is very minimal.

It is a fairly new series (granted that the first episode premiered yesterday), but I fully believe that it will turn out to be beyond amazing.

This is a series that I've been following since Chapter 1 of the Manga.

[Funny Story: I actually found this manga on MangaWall one day while playing around with the random manga button, and i happened to stumble upon this series. Incidentally it was the day after Chapter 1 was added. After reading it, I instantly fell in love with it, and the worst part of it was that the author would take forever to release new Chapters.]

So after what seemed to be the longest 1 year wait of my life, they finally released an Anime adaptation.

The Characters are likable, the Themes they use are good, the Art Style is phenomenal, the color is amazing, the saturation is beyond perfect. It's just so well done. I highly recommend all forms of this Series to EVERYONE!

It's not licensed by any EU/NA anime company and therefore you must download it or stream illegally

Bokurano is a mech show with a twist on the genre.

Bokurano is a show that follows a group of 15 people that are 15 years old that just so happen to be on the beach one day. this led one in the group to suggest that they should go look at close by cave's... Because well, they didn't have anything else too do. And thus leading them to a room in a cave that is filled with computers and such, where they end up meeting the owner of the cave. Then the owner said that he had been working on a new game, and asked the kids if they wanted to play it. But first they needed to accept a contract that allows them to play it where they would save the world.

Before I write too much about the show story... It's basically a show about a group of people who must pilot a mecha to defeat the enemies and save the earth, but there's a catch.......... Whoever in the group that get's chosen to pilot the so called "zearth" mech will die instantly after he/she leaves their chair... One may think that it would just be so simple as to NOT pilot zearth, only if it was that simple because they eaiter pilot it and die or don't pilot it and die.

I have two staple anime that I've loved for many years:

Descendants of Darkness / Yami no matsuei < shoujo and one of the famous "on hiatus" shoujo manga. The mangaka broke her hand years ago D=;

&

Mirage of Blaze - It originated as a light novel series (still ongoing!). I love the interplay between the characters and the historical settings/references to feudal Japan.

Both err at times on the BL side, but it's not overpowering and they both have been enjoyed by my boyfriend XD; I won't bother posting a synopsis, it's easy to look them up XD;

I would recommend The Devil is a part timer.

This 2013 spring anime was overshadowed by the hype created by Attack on Titan, but for those who were lucky to watch this, they would know how funny this anime was. Hopefully with enough popularity, this anime would get a second second. If any anime deserved a second season, this does.

Hyouka is my recommendation. I absolutely adore this anime--
It's a mystery, and a very, very good one at that. I love the characters, all of the episodes are amazing, (21 I believe?) and, to quote a review of it I saw, it certainly needs another season.
It's not on Crunchyroll sadly, but I watched it on Zero Anime.
I really cannot express my love for this one enoughhh.

....Another anime to add to my list
