I've been a member of Crunchyroll since 2012, and a user for even longer, but the complete lack of support for one of their primary distribution channels is, in my opinion, Disgraceful. Ive been watching the boards hoping that some resolution or at least acknowledgement would be provided from the staff, but they've been silent on the matter, and so all I see are more and more dissatisfied members adding their voices to the protest. If they were trying to address the problem and had simply been unsuccessful, I could have patience. but the complete neglect is very disheartening.

What I want to know is, How many of us are out there? Maybe if we can quantify the userbase they are offending we can get some real action.

We wont get every dissatisfied user to vote, obviously, because most probably don't bother with the forums, especially among those using apps other than the Web-page to view content. But one user better versed in Statistic than me posted the following, so even if we get a small sample size in this poll it will point to a larger threat to Crunchyroll's future.

While only 4% of dissatisfied customers complain and tell an average of 9 to 15 people about their experiences, happy customers tend to tell only 4 to 6 people about those positive experiences, so you have to take all those facts into consideration when making such claims. source

I wish I could find a statistic about how many satisfied customers don't say a word.

I voted No, I can deal... but, technically, I mean something between than and What Problems?.

Personally, I don't have too much issue with the PS3 app. In the 6+ months I've been using it, I've had it hang my console on one or maybe two occasions, I've had it run slow and lose audio-visual sync once and it soft-quit on me (app quit, but the PS3 didn't hang) only once, and recently at that.

So clearly I've had it affect me a few times, so I can't really say "what problems" but I've not had it go belly-up on me enough to be really dissatisfied.

Not compared to the Xbox app, which would frequently and randomly skip chunks. Enough to stop me using it, in favour of getting a US PSN account just to get the app.
Not compared to the Roku app which no longer loads shows or me at al. Enough to persuade me to get an AppleTV. Which, honestly, suits me better. (But wasn't even rumoured to happen when I bought the Roku, which I only did as there wasn't an AppleTV app...)

And clearly other people are affected. I know I'm just lucky enough for the issues to not trip me up too often.

But between it not being my only CR method screwing me over as often as it affects others? No, I'm not going to quit over it. Whereas "I can deal..." implies that I get the full effect but put up with it anyway. Which isn't really the case.

But my personal vote would be "2.5 - I've encountered the issue, but not enough to really cause problems."

The app has made me cry for the last few months. With crashes, freeze's and the like which make me worry for my systems safety. I would rather just pay for Hulu at this point seeing as its anime selections is pretty good at this point.

Personally, I would rather buy another device than put up with the ads of Hulu Plus (especially while paying for it).

Hulu is literally my last resort when viewing streaming anime.

Add's suck. but it has the best anime collection next to crunchy (as far as I know) With a stable always working app. Crunchy roll has done nothing besides crash for the last few weeks and today started giving me an error and refuses to let me log on. Making Hulu look more like the lesser of two evils.

I wasn't so impressed with their Roku app when I snagged a two month trial of Hulu Plus almost two years ago.

Using fast forward or rewind would often result in the the app becoming slow to respond, or even becoming unresponsive to the point that my only choice was to power cycle the Roku. Removing and re-installing the app had no positive effect. I ended up finishing most of my trial by viewing on my PC, and then cancelling.

I can't recall having problems of that type with any other Roku app. There was a period of time about a year and half ago where Funimation's app would get really slow in the UI, but even that never affected the video playback, or made my hesitant to touch the RW/FF keys on my remote.

I have subscriptions to not only CR but also Funimation and TAN, so I have access to a lot of the anime ad-free that Hulu has. Anime from Viz is the biggest swath of anime I can't view ad free.

There is also Manga's app on the Roku, and the Nozomi Entertainment channel on YouTube, both of which have fewer ads than Hulu. (Manga's app probably has about as many ads per episode as Hulu did when it first started. Unfortunately, they tend to be repetitive and ill-timed).

I took Crunchyroll over Funimation only because they have an app for PS3. If the App doesn't work I have to plug my PC to my TV via HDMI, which is the same stuff I was doing for Funimation... No difference... It kind of pisses me off... But the other option is Hulu, which I hate for the adds. All in all I still feeling the drive to quit, but I don't feel like I have many alternatives to chose if I go for a change.

My excperince comes from the PS3/PS4 which are currently my only options for streaming on my TV. The Hulu app for consoles seeed to work perfectly fine with an average of 7 adds per show, which I agree is terrible when you ask eight bucks of your customers. But it worked and was stable which has been more the CR can say since I joined half a year ago.

I may drop the service while I weight to set up my entertainment center in my room, which will include attacking my pc to my tv and removing the need for any of these apps.

Thats the way I feel. I paid for the convenience of the ps3 app, but as of late it had been terrible. It won't even retrieve my queue or any anime at the moment. I refuse to go to hulu, and I don't want to go back to torrents either.
