This is going to be a good Anime if it follows the manga.. sports and romance cant beat that!

I liked the manga for a while then got bored with it. There is a little too much tennis and not enough actual character building and matches seem like they take DBZ fight length at times. I'll see how they handle the anime though.

-_- Little too much tennis? Its a sport manga about tennis what do you expect? Btw as someone who plays tennis it doesn't feel like much at all, cause the sorta stf shown actually really happens in tennis.

Fair enough but for me I like my sports anime not to be just about the sport. I like when they build up the characters behind the scenes as well. Otherwise I'd just watch the actual sport instead of an anime about it. I'm not saying they don't at all in this but I prefer a little more. It's just a personal taste thing for me.

Still watching, but the main character's hair bangs spike thing is really distracting me for some reason. Cause otherwise his hair is normal, it just look so out of place.

Edit: Finished. It's okay, Im not sure how I feel about it yet.

The main character doesn't have a personality that really clicks with me yet. But tennis is the one sport I liked to play in high school, so Im kind of interested.

His random hair spike bit really is distracting for some reason still.

Also if that chick is just playing cause of that guy she's walking with, will slightly bother me which may be pity of me.

I like Teekyuu but it contains very little tennis LOL

This one seems humorous, I hope there is some romance. So far it seems good, will see if it holds my interest.

That was great! Fulfilled all expectations for the first episode, and from the manga its a show that gets better and better as it goes on, so high hopes here.

I hope there is romance too.

But I'm slightly worried about this set up.

Last sports manga I tried was a boxing one. With a girl who was serious about boxing getting a guy into it.

Then in the first tournament she gets hurt and can no longer box, like ever again. And turns into the support corner chick for the guy to follow his dreams and hers.

Pissed me off.

So I've been burned by female leads guy into loving sports. Female then becomes pure support and can't follow her own dream.

Not saying this would do that, I haven't read this manga.

I haven't read this manga either but yeah, I hope this doesn't happen considering that becoming a tennis pro is HER dream while his was to get some exercise while keeping up his top academic scores. He seems to turn his academics toward his tennis with the year flash-forward to him using his trademark notebooks to record every single shot (talk about OCD! LOL). So yeah, if she fails to become a pro but he succeeds then it may be a bit annoying though he does seem to have the sort of personality that could allow him to do this with his attention to detail and precision which is a lot of what tennis is about.

But I don't think Natsu is into tennis just because of some guy. She seems to be pretty serious about it.

I hope you are both right. That boxing manga pissed me off. lol Guess it also made me wary.

I'll keep watching. Tennis is my favorite sport in real life. To watch mostly.

I look forward to keep watching then.

Episode 1

Even during matches, Eiichiro will not put down the books. An honors student is about nothing but studying and because of that, he is out of shape. And so, he takes up tennis. First day was pretty rough as he can't even survive the warm-ups. And then there is Natsu, who wants to go pro, but can't let anybody know about it. That was a pretty good first episode, and I will see how things go from here. I'll watch another episode of this.
