Just waiting on BC now, I mean a majority of the weed is from here so why not legalize it!?!?!?!?

You are correct though if shit hits the fan it wouldn't matter cause its illegal on a federal level. But the feds wouldn't bother with petty crime. They are looking for drug lords. They aren't going to send a swat force to kick down your door cause your smoking a blunt the size of your arm. Maybe if you were a dealer that knew someone on a higher chain. I just don't see them just breaking into your house just because you smoke weed you know what I mean?!

That may be, but I simply prefer to take no chances. No such thing as being too careful.

My thoughts on marijuana begin and end with "I hate, hate, hate the smell." I'm not going to judge people for smoking it, as long as they don't smoke it around me. Subjecting people nearby to that horrendous stench is extremely inconsiderate.

I feel the same way with cigarettes. I don't think cigarettes and marijuana should be smoked in public period.

Must be nice to be blazin' legally. My dealer got into some trouble recently, so I can't really get anything from him. I think I'll officially quit unless someone I'm with has some and offers me some, because that made me realize how dangerous it is when you're caught in the possession of it.

My company had a message in their newsletter about legal marijuana in Colorado and Washington. Basically stating while it is legal at the state level, it is still a felony at the federal level and depending on requirements of your position (i.e. security clearance) could get you fired. There was no moral stance taken in the message, it actually started of kind of tongue and cheek, but it clearly was a reminder that if you do work for the Federal government, it doesn't matter what the state law is, you are still breaking a federal law and that can get you fired if your job requires a clearance.

Personally, I think marijuana should be legal. There are more dangerous drugs out there (including alcohol) that are legal. It certainly should be classified as a class 3 drug, putting it as worse than cocaine. That said, I probably wouldn't be smoking it even if it were legal. It just isn't something I'm interested in doing.

I see a lot of people saying the cost is outrageous but lets say you pay about 100-120 for 1/4 oz. That could last a single person two weeks, or longer if you have less free time. That's like 8$ a day--I know people who drink that spend more just on the food they eat before passing out and as much, if not more, on the booze itself. And at least you're still functional while you're high and it isn't wreaking havoc on your body. Hell there are people that simply refuse to learn to cook at home whatsoever and spend twice as much on takeout throughout the week.
