This. Except I'd surrender if it meant the people I'm protecting can get away or I can buy them time. I consider my life less important then theirs.

I usually launch into a long monologue about my life and it's usually enough to either put my foe asleep or make them run for the hills. If that fails then it depends on my foe's type -
1) Robot - Give them a logical paradox.
2) Kitten - Offer them yarn, catnip, or a gaggle of Japanese school girls.
3) Senior Citizen - Give them a coupon for Old Country Buffet
4) Mascot - Splash them with whatever foodstuff is on hand, pretend the zipper on their costume is stuck, and send them to the nearest cleaners.
5) Alien - Throw a plastic spider at them.

It depends on the situation. If its like a wild animal or insect, then flight. If its a person, then fight/defend.

Surrendering is so boring and pathetic. Defending what you need and what you want most comes first, but if your enemy is completely overpowered, then flight or formal protest, but never surrender.

if they're spiders or bugs... "flight"

if humans, I surrender... somehow that reminds me of a Celine Dion song...

That's an interesting poll xD
I chose "Defend" since that's what I usually lean towards when it comes to fear. Stay around and brace for impact :x

Defend. For me that means escape if possible, fight if not.

It kind of depends on the situation, man. There are lots of things I'm afraid of but I won't react the same way to all of them. Are we talking bullies picking on you in the schoolyard, psychopathic serial killers, persons unknown holding you hostage, or some perverted old man trying to pick you up? Not to mention all the other countless scenarios possible.

I do know that I'd definitely flee if I'm up against spiders though.

lol i think i'm the cray type, i get angry scared and thrive on adrenaline. ust accept you're scared, retreat if you have to but find a way. If i'm scared of something pointless, i don't do anything about it.
Anyway, this reminds me of this;
