Jared from the Georgina Kincaid series, by Richell Mead. Charismatic and manipulative. Well, he is a demon, and is one of the most successful. Rules over Seattle, Oregon. He's someone you want on your side.

The Scribe Virgin (aka; Analisse) and The Omega from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, by J.R. Ward. Siblings who rule as deities over their respective creations, and are archenemies of each other. The Scribe Virgin is good, while Omega is evil; however, both are arguably just as manipulative/charismatic as the other.

Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Mega-ultra-manly-manliness charisma to the max. lol

Jean-Claude from the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series, by Laurell K. Hamilton. Both charismatic and manipulative. A master-level vampire, incubus, sourde de sang of his own bloodline, and one of the primary love interests of the series' heroine. His puppeteering is felt throughout many of the novels.

Essentially every major and side vampire character in Anne Rice's The Vampire Chronicles series. And they're all borderline insane.

Muraki Kazutaka from Descendants of Darkness/Yami no Matsuei. Charismatic and Manipulative. And a piece of shit.

Griffith from Berserk. Both, of course. Need I say more?

This is a pretty good list, so I'll stop here. I didn't want to repeat what others have said.

Light from Death Note is manipulative; at least the way he used Misa. He manipulated everyone around him, basically... his family, father, L, co-workers etc.

He will do anything to get to his objective.

I suppose all humans are like that in some ways. It just depends if we have the abilities to do it. For example, most people can use their beauty to their advantage... especially when concerning the opposite gender.

I'm manipulative too; but i'm never consciously manipulative. It's always... I say something to someone to make them feel sorry for me, then only later i realized i did it to make them feel sorry... but I do it sub-consciously. I try to restrain myself from being manipulative. So I just stay quiet.

This is why i hate talking to people; the more i talk to people, the more i realize how flawed I am... how human I am. I just want to be lost in my own world.

Self-fulfilling self-assessment post?

You have no idea how often I have to delete my own comments before posting it... because I realized I was going off-tangent...

I wanted to delete the latter part of the comment in that post, but CR was lagging for me, so I just left it.

Eh, I didn't mean anything by it, just thought it was kind of funny. I have a tendency to start rambling too; I figure people just hit the page down button when they see my posts and watch as they go whizzing by.

Sinbad from Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic.

He's super charismatic for starters- almost everyone likes him, he's made many allies over the years, and he's really a great guy who'll help someone in need however he can. BUT. He's also manipulative as hell. Sure he'll help people out, but 90% of the time he does so with the intent of getting something out of it, or steers the situation in a direction that suits him best. He befriended our main cast so he could use them in the future, charmed a kind and lonely princess from another nation to use her against her family, led a prince to believe he'd lend him a hand when it's likely he has every intention of watching him crash and burn, and who knows what else?

The scariest part about it is, he feels no remorse for his manipulative actions. Sinbad really is a good guy after all, and every manipulative action he takes is for his country's sake or for the greater good of the whole world (or so he believes). One would think that such a nice guy would feel bad about stabbing just about every unwitting ally around him in the back, but it's just the opposite. Because he's acting with 'good' intentions, Sinbad sees nothing wrong with his methods.

The detached manner in which he views his misdeeds combined with dazzling charisma is almost the textbook definition of a psychopath, so he really sets me on edge. Lots of readers love him though, and I do appreciate how complex a character he is.

Thank god at least two people thought Edmund Dantes, awesome book (Count of Monte Cristo) if y’all haven’t read it. Used to be required reading when I was in school, not so sure about now.

I'll throw Jay Gatsby (The Great Gatsby) in there. Worked his way up from nothing through deceit & charisma all to chase the ideal of a past he never had.

I wont explain, but Harry Potter-James-Evans from Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality.

Check it out if you haven't, the basic gist is that it's an alternate world where Harry is raised by a science professor and is a neurotic, egocentric, rational person who gets thrown into the wizarding world and proceeds to throw it out of balance... FOR SCIENCE!

I normally don't advertise fan-fiction, but it's good enough that it deserves it.

It must be this one

This little guy has destroyed countless armies and thwarted many conquests. Strong and ruthless, he's not phased by the armors and weaponry of man. A mass murdering psychopathic beast, who's appearance lulls all into a false security, and tricking his victims into labeling all who warn them of his deadly nature as 'insane'. No matter how much warning is given, no one will believe it, his bloodthirst will forever continue to be fed.
