Hajjime no Ippo or however it's spelled. I hate how Crunchyroll only has the most recent series.

My friends keep telling me to watch Attack on Titan and they hate me for only watching the first 10min of it and not watching any farther I've been sort of been putting it off since it started airing, it was on my to be watched list the whole time and it never got touched again.....and I still haven't seen it. It was similar with Sword Art Online. it took me a while to start it and actually finish it. I started watching it cause of all the commotion from the SAO fans and SAO haters.
I just recently started K-on! It was on my to be watched list for years!! But it isn't so bad now that I've seen a couple of episodes :)

Well there isn't one that I haven't started, but there are a couple here I couldn't start to get into.

These have arguably the worst start of any anime that are considered the best of its kind:

Bakemonogatari. That's the first one in the series right? Dropped it after the 4th episode

Gintama: Dropped it after hearing you need to watch 50!!! episodes to get into it. That's insanity and perpetual torture for anyone who just wants to watch an anime.

Steins;Gate: I dropped it at first. But I'm really glad I came back to it after. It really picked up after the 7th episode for me and became a very solid anime. Worth the praise.

Code Geass: It wasn't that this show had a slow start for its time. It was because I didn't start watching it until recently instead of when it first came out. By now a lot of Anime in its Genre have bypassed it in shocking first start (Valvrave.) The animation standards have really gotten outdated by today's standards.

SoA - Stopped after the first episode. I played MMO's a lot and found the concept really cheesy and too unrealistic to suspend any disbelief.

Fate Series- I don't know a damn thing about this series...at all. I hear Fate Stay Night is not that good compared to Fate/Zero and im not one to watch the 2nd series without watching the 1st; doesn't matter if you can and still understand it.

Arguably watching Fate/Zero and then the Fate/Stay Night remake would be the ideal strategy. I'm pretty sure the only thing you'd get out of doing the reverse is spoiling the ending of Fate/Zero before you watched it (since it's a prequel).
Well knowing the ending of Fate Zero by watching Fate/Stay Night first doesn't really tell you how they got there or put it into context, I don't think it hurts it at all really. However by watching Zero first knowing what happens beforehand actually hurts the plot in Stay Night a bit as you aren't meant to know what happens prior to the start and its part of the reveal through that story. I'd say there are more spoilers by watching the prequel first then there are by watching it second, which is generally the case when prequels are made in my experience as the original series are meant for you to not have the information whereas prequels are generally made knowing that you already have knowledge. With the remake they might make it work out better in chronological order. We'll have to see.

I had the same problem at first but ended up loving it and it is currently my second favorite anime. I recommend you try it. I only started watching it this season, not last season.

Anyone getting into the Fate series, just please get the Visual Novel and play through all three routes before going to Zero. It makes so much more sense and gives you more excitement starting Zero.

Well that as well. The original source material is often the best choice.

What is it called... the Monogatari series or whatever? That everyone hypes all over the place about? Like Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari or whatever. I keep putting them off and off and off and off again.

SAO too cheesy and unrealistic? Of all the things that happen in anime a VR game based on fighting monsters and leveling up is too unrealistic?

Quite a few for me sadly lol
Hunter x Hunter: just got bored with the theme around episode 65 lol
Saint Seiya Omega: Just got bored of theme watched like first 53 episodes though
Tegami Bachi Letter Bee: Just could not get past like first few episodes, looked interesting but got kinda bored
Lilpri: just got bored with same theme every episode arg just weird lol
Nagi no Asukara: Tried, it once, but on my second try i watched more episodes, but still don't want to catch up
Yowapeda: i was like, ok i get it, i get it bikes are amazing lol learned new stuff about bikes but ya got bored

The main one which people talk about a lot and i know it suppose to be good is one piece, the art style drives me insane, the mouths like SO big for no reason besides, I'm yelling listen to what I'm saying lol I'm only on like episode 9 but arg idk

I was a hardcore WoW and Everquest player when I was younger. SAO (I'm guessing Log Horizon and other in its genre too) just looks way to idealized to what I remember in MMORPGs. It's like a pop version to make pretty of every thing that was rather ugly.
