I curse my existence, then make sure to make the day hell for other people.

Try not to step on my dog who is convinced that the only way to wake me up is to push against the bed until it shakes. Repeatedly.

Do school, while drinking coffee.

In my room.

Homeschooling is amazing.

Here's my typical weekday:

1) Open one eye to check how much light is coming through the window, listen for rain falling*
2a) -In case of low light- Curse the concept of setting "morning" so damn early in the day. Rummage around for something with the time of day on it. Usually my phone or my alarm clock. whatever I can locate first.
2b) -In case of suspiciously much light- Sit up, put on my glasses, check the time of day, curse the concept of time passing without having the courtesy of waiting for me to be ready. Dash for the bathroom.
3a) Pull the blanket over my head, open my other eye, rub sand out of my eyes, brace myself for the day.
3b) Try to get enough water on me to pass for a remotely human being. Throw on some clothes, grab my things - likely forgetting half of them - and make a run for the train. The constant muttering of curses during all this is encouraged. -This is where my morning routine ends on days I've overslept-

4) Throw the blanket aside, sit up, get my glasses on, stare at a random point in the room and blink a few times until my adjusted perspective stops feeling weird.
5) Get out of bed, turn the radio in the bathroom on.
6) Return to my room and pick out clothes.
7) On the way to the bathroom swing by the kitchen to fill the water cooker and turn it on
8) Shower
9) Dry off, head back to the kitchen and use the hot water to make a glass of tea.
10) Back to the bathroom, get my hair untangled, get dressed and generally presentable.
11) Get the tea filter out of the glass. Enjoy my tea while listening to the radio.
12) Check the clock. At the right time, go brush my teeth and grab my stuff. Double check I've got everything I need.
13) Walk to the train station (Optional, in the winter: curse the lack of an outdoors heating system)

*in case of blinding pain on step 1: take something against my migraine and hope it goes away. If it doesn't: crawl under my blanket, call my GP to make an appointment for later in the day and try to find the one way to lie perfectly still that doesn't hurt as much as the others.

If you're wondering: No I don't set an alarm to wake me up. After two weeks of sleeping through 3 different alarm clocks going off consecutively I've given up on it. I just don't register the damn things unless I'm already awake.

I place my alarm near my table which I have to get up off my bed to switch off so I don't fall again back to sleep. Ironically I just get up and switch it off then go back to bed every time..

Pet my doggy, then serve him and myself some food :)
I placed my alarm at the other end of my bedroom so if I want to turn it off i need to get out of the bed.

I always wake up super early, and I'm immediately awake. So..get up, wake up the computer, see if any spambots were active during the night that need to be dealt with...
