There was once a candy wrapper on my remote, and I lifted the WHOLE THING.

Barbell back squats is probably the best leg exercise you can do. It works out, if done properly, your lower back, core, quads, hams and glutes. Front squats focus more on your core and quads. If you don't know how to perform these exercises, I suggest looking up instructional videos and practicing at home with a broom stick or something.

PR's:
Clean: 265
Bench:275
Jerk: 295
Squat: 450

I been cutting lately so I haven't been maxing out. I was about 205, then finally got down to 190. With 9% body fat I really hope I can squeeze down to 180. trying to get ALL KINDS OF GAINS. But to answer your question I just got home from running and light work out to and watched Yowapeda

Nice PRs. I should really try oly lifts. Unlike you, I'm a pretty big guy lol, 6'3" and 290 lbs. I need to keep all this weight on for football season. When did you start lifting in general?

I was mostly taught calisthenics in school and it doesn't require a lot of equipment, so I've stuck with that. The only thing I've bought is a pull-up bar.

I've always wanted to try getting into calisthenics. Only problem is I'm way too heavy to perform any of the movements. How do you even get started with calisthenics?

I don't do any sort of working out really... most I do lifting wise is picking up my sister whom is handicapped, that is like 60 or 70 lbs of dead weight there. Other than that... I life my TV and Roku remote... oh and my hand to my mouth.

Good question. Since I've been doing them since I was a child, I don't really know what it's like to be unable to do them. I'm 5'11", 140 lbs, so I'm definitely a lot lighter. Soccer, tennis, and fencing are the sports I play. I used to be on a swim team when I was very young, but I never really liked getting wet. Maybe those kinds of sports help. My understanding is that you notice improvement very quickly, even if you can only do a few pull-ups or squats to start with.
