Last Thoughts Before Leaving High School

Mmm..for me it was kind of bittersweet. During high school junior and senior year were when I had the most fun. I had forced myself to get more active in clubs, and learned to be a teeny bit more social. I helped out the Business Department of my high school a lot, and I was really close with my teachers. They were like my mentors, and parting with them was really emotional on my part. They served as my guardians in a way whenever I went to school, and I discussed all sorts of things with them. I also really enjoyed History, so not being able to sit in a History class all day kinda made me sad. (I know, very cheesy). For the most part I tried to stay in contact with all of my teachers, even the ones from middle school. When I graduated high school, it felt like they finally let me go, and be free out into the real world. It was very sad for me, and even know I try to stay connected with them when I can.

Once I graduated, it was indeed a sad by but a much relieved one. I couldn't stand about 80% of the kids at my school, so I was grateful to get away from them. For the ones I did treasure, my general circle of friends followed me on to community college, and now it looks like that we're getting close to parting ways. However we still all stay generally close, and I'm extremely close with my two best friends from high school. Graduating and leaving high school though also set me into gear for getting ready for the real world. I'm now able to focus on things that will hopefully boost up my potential career, and get me really going as apart of the "real world flow". Being let go can be scary, but it can also be an experience that proves rewarding once you find your own way.

Ah, looks like you've been hit with good old senioritus. I've got to wait until the end of June to graduate High School, so be glad it comes sooner for you.

I guess it can make sense if you've had friends in high school to miss it, but for someone like me who was forced into a loner position by my interests, I'll never go back to that school willingly again. My uncle and mom both went to that district and hated it with a burning passion. You step in there, you go back socially to the '80s where people still think anyone playing any video game is a D&D basement dweller, even Flappy Derp. This district also covers the wealthier towns, so it's filled with a LOT of preppies and rich snobs.

I was like "Hell ya! Screw the people in this school!" except for some people of course. I now have fonder memories of my school now that I'm out of it and away from the people in it.

I did not mind high school very much.. You got to hang out with your friends for 8 hours a day, while pretending to do work. The food wasn't terrible(at least at my school) Gym class always was fun.

I wasn't sad to leave nor was i happy. It was more a feeling of indifference like "Well that was fun, time to start over in college i guess."

I look back on high school with fond memories on rare occasions or when I see posts like this.

After you have been removed from that period of time for as long as I have, you realize that that 4 years was not as significant as you thought it may have been when you were a teenager. I would have to say that the most molding years of my life were between the ages of 25-35.

I still have a few real good friends from high school that I see on almost a daily basis (my best friend being one) but for the most part I steer clear of anything else that had to do with high school. It is extremely depressing to see how little most people have done with their lives since then.

Well guys, I'm a senior and these last three weeks have been hard as hell for me because I was trying my best to keep my grades to the way they are right now and honestly I can say that I am proud of myself.

I'm on spring break for the moment since I have next week off from school and since I got off, I've been thinking my last thoughts about my graduation. This also means that I might not have any friends to associate myself with after high school, and I do not know if this is a good feeling.

I graduate in June at the Citizens Bank Arena and next month then May are my final months of high school. So now that I've told you my story, what do you guys think about graduation or leaving to universities after high school? Have you guys ever lost any friends you were close to the most or found their true colors?

If so, state your opinions on here. I have been feeling alone but I'm not depressed if that is what you guys are thinking. I am just trying to tell who are my real friends are right now.

Friends come and go bro. But having any friends to talk to after leaving high school is much more than graduation. A lot of my friends went out separate ways because we all went to different universities in the country, but I still keep in touch with them via facebook, texting, twitter, etc. You'll make new friends in university/college, so don't break a sweat about losing some friends.

I have a group of very close friends, since day one, and a lot of us are already in university/college. But we still manage to find the time to get together and chill. We always tell each other that, even though we're far apart, doesn't matter where we are, we'll always be friends and we'll always have each other's backs.

Real friendship doesn't always require physical interaction or closeness. Being apart from a real friend won't affect your relationship if you both know that you're both going to be friends. This is some corny shit but it's the truth bro.

No joke my first thought was "I wonder where I am gonna eat after this"

I had a stalker there... maybe two. It's funny because I never noticed until someone alerted me to their creepy behavior. Still, I don't really mind and school was fun. I thought I'd miss it but I ended up forgetting about it within a few days.

It was 25 years ago... Wow.... High school was fun, but when it was time to graduate I think i was ready for bigger, newer things and I didn't really look back. After 20 years, I do think about it from time to time and appreciate the fun times and learning experiences.
