Pig and man have lived side by side since the earliest days of the world, some times as friends, and sometimes as enemies. However, there came a day when man decided that he would like to eat pig.

When contemplating on how to eat pig, man eventually discovered the most delicious part of pig with just the right proportion of meat to fat. He then sliced it into strips, put it in a frying pan, and cooked it, and thus was the dawn of bacon.

Hundreds of years passed, wars broke out, and Japan eventually learned how to make cartoons which they refer to as anime. In this 'anime', often are portrayed depictions of our beloved delicacy. Thus I ask you fellow bacon and anime connoisseurs, which marriage of these two sacred objects is the most holy!?

First of all I would like to present exhibit A, from the farming anime Silver Spoon. This specimen has yet to be prepared presenting an un-tampered innocence and juicy exterior.

Next from Minamike presented by the lovely Chiaki, is when man decided that he not only wanted to eat pig, but also cow as well. The perfect balance of colors and and the glistening of the cheese present a dish that even the most healthy of heathens could not resist.

Finally I present to you this piece from Kimi no Todoke. Because nothing says I love you like bacon. This dish tells us that every cloud has a silver lining, and any problem can be taken care of when you are embraced by the one you love.

So which anime do you think portrays bacon in its finest light?
