Well the animation visuals are somewhat different from the manga. Still, looking to see how this will develop. The romance is actually more humorous than I had thought and the plot itself has a cute vibe to it. Hoping this will be 2 cour if possible.

This one I am definitely curious about and will be watching. Don't care that it is shoujo.

*rolls around* Why is it I'm always more iffy on shows aimed at my gender/focus group.

This doesn't look that interesting to me, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'll try it out I guess.

I'll see how it goes. Been a while since I had some shoujo in my life. And it doesn't look like the Diabolik Lovers kind either, which is also fine by me.

Because most Shojou anime seem to be trying to program us into good little girlfriend/housewives?

Well Japanese culture is still extremely sexist. Nothing we can do about it I suppose. But it does get to me after a certain point when the girl always makes the damn bentos though, nurse back to health, etc. The guys get their comeuppance always getting slapped >_> Can't they think of new tropes?

one reason I like harems. is they are full of the 'forbidden fruit' of loud, feisty, armed girls...

MOST shoujo heroines .. get me really upset.

kinda like how all the girls bailed out on the suicide mission in Pilot's lovesong.

Yea I dislike a lot of Shoujo girls. Host Club was good tho lol.

It's funny how I only have a few Shoujo shows I like.

I'll give this a try, but really doesnt look like something I'll like.

I'm skeptical but I usually give everything a shot at the start of the season.

That's why for all that the sales were no good, fall 2012 was a great season for me. Say I Love You's Mei and My Little Monster's Mitty were WONDERFUL shoujo heroines who didn't make bentos or dress up in nurse outfits. They had their own dreams and goals and lives. They weren't just living for their bishounen.

But Beautiful is not about normal girls so I'm not sure what to expect, not having read the manga.
