Well that was....beautiful, possibly the episode I enjoyed the most today from what I have seen so far...seems as if some of the shows this week have been boring me, can't shake off this feeling. ekk

Side note: This episode was so lovely it almost could end the series and I would still be very content with the overall show, that's how enjoyable it was for me, but I am glad it is still continuing. Didn't expect it to hit so many good rom-com qualities so fast, definitely worth my time.

I liked episode 1, but by the end of episode 2 I'd decided this was probably on my drop list. Still willing to give it the 3 episode try, but had put off watching episode 3 until today. I'm growing more interested again. Let's see how I feel after episode 4 though.

It's great though. I feel sad somebody somewhere is even thinking of dropping this thing.

Ep 5

Gosh darn it use a new song already!

And of course the old oppai council dudes are the most powerful people in the world. I would only trust these guys to make the best decisions.

I'm wondering why you lost interest? (curiousity, lol) I rarely watch rom-coms, but this one is actually unexpectedly right up in the alley of things that tickle my fancy.

I think it's safe to say that this is my favorite romance anime of the season now.

The blend of comedy, romance, and seriousness I feel is so well executed. And the relationship between Nike and Livi is so pure and moving that I always have a smile on my face when I'm watching them.

A little part of me came back to life when I saw this scene:

I agree. There was so many satisfying moments in this episode, I wouldn't even be mad if this was the end of the series (of course I'm glad it's continuing lol).

The Oppai Council is just a straight up win. I burst out laughing when they were getting praised and talking about who powerful and intimating they are and then they're all talking about boob sizes Just too good!

Another good episode. Doesnt matter if it's romance, slice of life, adventue fantasy they all blend well!

Liking Nike and Livius getting closer!

I'm usually annoyed by rom-coms, but this is so much more. They will definitely be my favorite couple of the season.

That scene when they embraced....so many feels. And the rainbow ring was adorable. Next week looks like that girl is going to be a pain in the butt though. I want to see Nike put her in her place if possible.

Well crap. I had a whole post written up, and previewed, and edited, and looks like I must eventually have never clicked "Post Reply" after all.

Shorter version (maybe):

There's not always a clear reason why I drop or consider dropping something. It's more that to conserve time (I overdid things with the simulcast anime watching last season and some other parts of my life suffered because of it), if I don't find myself actively caring about "what happens next" or otherwise looking forward to the next episode, then it's at risk. usually don't bother analyzing why I feel that way. It might be that it's well-done but has enough aspects that aren't at all appealing, or that it's the sort of show I generally enjoy but is executed poorly enough that I'm just not interested.

In this case episode 1 had me feeling it was one kind of story, but episode 2 made it clear it was some other kind of story--one that did not having me very interested in what happens next. Episode 3 sparked that interest a little (plus I started liking the characters better.) However, it's still a bit more old-days "HarlequinHistoricalRomancelike" than pleases me in terms of the story and the dynamic between the two main characters.

I've now watched through episode 5, and at this point it's not in my "definitely watch soon after simulcast" list, nor is it in the "drop--do not bother watching ever" list. It's instead in the category of something I'll watch an episode of if I have a few minutes to kill and am looking for something to watch.

ETA: I also do not like that tender rain song, and I've heard it way too many times now.

Livius isn't like a child to me anymore. He comes off like an adult - a really short man adult. The way he delivered those lines sounded like he's 20 but when she went up to hug him, he was just missing some stilettos.

Liked the comment about him being just a bratty pervert. That was my youth.

Not too bad of an episode. Although the song that Nike uses almost every episode is starting to feel a little stale. And the preview for the next ep is a call for trouble...well Livius, you've got some explaining to do...
