Yep, and I was comparing her to a teenager who has been grounded and not allowed to see her "boyfriend". See the similarities?

Luring her and her fiance to your house under false pretense, attempting to drug the fiance and hypnotize him (ie: messing with his mind), drugging her and then locking her up, yes, that's similar to telling a teenager to stay in their room for a certain period of time (grounding) and not seeing their boyfriend anymore.

There are grounds to make the comparison, but that is not the case.

In this case the "rebellious" teenager is betrothed to somebody WITH her father's authorization. That Grandma does not like the arrangement is irrelevant. The one being rebellious is Grandma not Nike.

Episode 11

Well, that was anti-climactic there as Kitora had a change of heart, and Livi was pulled out of the lake. It didn't take long for this to get resolved. In comes the mother who is asking Nike to stay, but Livi knows she is safer with Livi. And mother takes this opportunity to dress up this couple in a party to publicly display their affection. Even though he is overprotective of Nike, Kitora is such a jerk having that attitude towards Livi, but at least he actually uses his brain for once here in not tossing Livi down the cliff. That's a very nice episode there. It was silly to resolve that cliffhanger like that, but the development is just nice, and Nike's mother sure is great. One more episode to go.

Mother has great fashion tastes here dressing up the couple like that:

Kitora did not had a change of heart. He knew that Nike would keep hitting that door until she got serious injuries, even to death. So he let her go.

This was pretty funny. I liked this episode. I'm a little mad that it did get resolved sort of easily, but Livi won so that's all that matters. And Nike's mom is awesome. But I have no idea what to really expect next week given that preview...

Episode 11

Good episode overall although this felt somewhat like a finale. We get the reunion between Nike and Livius as they are finally able to have a feasting ceremony at the kingdom.

I have to say though, Nike's mother is pretty! Like mother, like daughter I guess.

The final few moments felt somewhat cheesy but amusing as well. One more episode left.

Tonal jerks are still a bit tough for me to stomach, but w/e. That's just how this show is.

Neil is the best.

Also, this stance. LOL

Solid episode, literally panned out scene by scene of how I expected the episode to be. seriously the series could pick almost any episode and it could be classified as a finale, it is one giant series of FINALES(of drama). Still like the show, but now it just feels like a middle teir romcom which propagates drama and resolves it within a fraction of a moment as if it was nothing, actually as if it WAS TRIVIAL to the point you question the motives of those who instigate the drama, oh well At least I still have 3 shoujo series I consider top teir.

I agree. It's not the worst of this I've encountered, but they seem especially pointless (aside from having to take up time somehow) so far into the story when it's been so clear for so long how solid the relationship actually is.

Would be interested in knowing what those 3 top tier shoujo series are.

Exactly, their relationship as been beyond rock solid since about episode 5 or 6...and now almost every problem they are thrown into seems trivial.

lol Here they are, hopefully they do not disappoint you:
My Long running number 1: Natsume Yuujinchou series
A very close second, and introduced me to the shoujo genre : Nana
Finally but not least: Kimi ni Todoke

Honorable mentions:
Kamisama Hajimemashita
My Little Monster.....this one is actually a guilty pleasure, I know its heavy faults but still like it quite a bit.

I loved this show but it seemed like it was a little rushed. I was looking for a battle or two between the countries or something. Let a year or so pass by so we can see what Livi looks like when he gets older. I want so much more from this show. Who came up with just 12 episodes while all the sports shows get 30,,,lol
