I never met anyone that was actually better than me.

I've met people that were smarter, stronger, faster and maybe more compassionate than me, but I never met anyone who I ever felt was a better human being than me.
I do not recall ever meeting someone who was less of a human than myself. Some people were slower, dumber, weaker than me but never any less human.

Except . . .
I know a bunch of people that thought they were better than me.... but most of them got over their narcissistic tendencies....
I may have felt them to be less human . . . But in retrospect, I've had some bad days, week, even months, so I might be inclined to think they might not be as bad I thought.....

"Might" being the operative word....

i dont like the word human

it takes on too many different symbolic meanings

tell me what does it mean to be human!

The thought/feeling has crossed my mind during anger, but I'm too benign to want to target faceless "above" and risk involving innocents. This reminds me of the French Revolution, when anyone aristocratic (or seemed to be) were mercilessly slaughtered (and worse). I refuse to "drag down" people who I don't know on a personal level. As for "pulling up...?" Once again, I won't deal with the faceless. Horrid people can come from all walks of life, and I'd rather not give them a "boost."

Edit:

Phersu, you're an exception, dear "faceless."

Freedom and slavery are both a paradox and a foil

I had one person try to mooch off my work and I took a strategic day off.
but other than that I prefer to let others go their own pace and vote for their favorite politician and screw themselves.

That's the definition of a rebel. Revolution from the revolt.

If someone is below you, it's your job to not be a piece of shit and help them up. Of course, you can only help those who want help.
Soooo, nah.

Ah root, hog or die. got it.

Equality isn't real and I don't pretend like it is. I simply treat others how they treat me.

I would not want to drag others down or bring others up. Then we'd have some Harrison Bergeron-type shit going on, and nobody wants that.

Equality and justice may be mere illusions, but that doesn't mean we can't strive to make our own ideals a reality. It'll never happen, but that's why they're ideals.

I don't think that a world in which there is forced equality would be a good thing nor would it be possible. Society would break down. There must always be those that are superior and those that are inferior.

..............AND

"All men ... are NOT created equal! Some are born swifter afoot, some with greater beauty, some are born into poverty and others born sick and feeble. Both in birth and upbringing, in sheer scope of ability every human is inherently different; Yes that is why people discriminate against one another, which is why there is struggle, competition and the unfaltering march of progress. Inequality is not wrong, equality is. What of the E.U. which made equality a right? Rabble politics by a popularity contest. The Chinese Federation with its equal distribution of wealth? A nation of lazy dullards. But not our beloved Britannia, we fight, we compete, evolution is continuous. Britannia alone moves forward, advancing steadily into the future. Even the death of my son, Clovis, demonstrates Britannia's unswerving commitment to progress. We will fight on, we shall struggle, compete, plunder and dominate, and in the end, the future shall be ours. ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!!!!!"

Yes! HAIL BRITANNIA! <<3

EDIT:
for the lazy, who do not want to read all that ;)

To be honest, I'm the type of sadist that likes to push people down even when I know I'm above everyone else. It might be cruel, but the way the world works is that someone will always be above you; and sometimes its people who were born to be on top without any struggle, which tends to make people even more upset. But the way I see it is if you're trying to make your way up and I am able to force you down, then you should just stay down and give up. The higher positions aren't for petty kids who cry after they've been knocked down.

There will never be true equality and I think that's for the best. For us to all be equal we'd all have to be the same, and in the process would lose what makes us ourselves. I think being treated fairly is what most people want, and being treated fairly or not like you're a piece of shit even when you've done nothing wrong, and equally are two different things. So long as people have different looks and different skills, different mental capacities and their own outlooks on the world we won't ever all be equal. To be equal we'd practically need to be robots. Even from a job perspective it wouldn't work. I don't think it's possible to force equality on someone and if we were all the same it would cause more problems than it would solve.

The thought has never crossed my mind, to be honest. I don't see the point.
