So it looks like Yen Press and Square Enix will be collaborating to release digital manga together, starting on April 8th.
Info: http://www.yenpress.com/2014/03/get-ready-for-world-domination-square-enix-style/
Schedule: http://yenpress.com/digital/

The most notable title among those is Fullmetal Alchemist, which I believe Viz has print rights too, but apparently not digital rights. I also notice that it sounds like the simulpub chapters must be purchased individually, which I am less excited about, especially if the price for a chapter is more than a dollar each. Regardless I am definitely looking forward to this!

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Edit: Got an answer about pricing: https://twitter.com/yenpress/status/448103948629852161
It seems expensive especially compared to Viz, where it costs .99 for one issue of Shonen Jump (200+ pages).

EDIT: sorry it's 175 volumes, not 175 titles (as in 175 series lol). That makes more sense. Still, there's some new stuff there.

I would have been on board if these had physical versions. But seeing as it's digital...meh, not interested.

I'm hopeful. It doesn't look terrible at face value, but I'll need to look into more details before I buy.

Fullmetal was always a special case, as it was on the Square Enix digital site before. Still weird though.

The pricing is the same as before for each chapter. On the high side because apple/amazon or whatever distributor takes a cut, like 30% of that. This may be how US comic buyers feel, for issues of their comic, though their stuff is in all color.

I like that there will be color pages though.

I really thought that it would be 175 series as well. This sorta killed me.
