Hey guys,

It's that time of the year again! If you were at Anime Boston this past weekend, you'll know that the Spring 2014 season has already begun!

First off, we've already started airing the Japanese drama, GTO Taiwan this past weekend! GTO Taiwan is airing every Saturday starting on March 22, at 7:30pm Pacific Time in two episode blocks, with the second episode right afterwards at 8pm.

GTO Taiwan is available for Crunchyroll audiences in the following territories: USA,Canada, South Africa, Central and South America (including the Caribbean), Europe (including French-speaking and German-speaking world, but excluding Russia), Australia, and New Zealand.

Based off of the original manga by Tohru Fujisawa, GTO Taiwan is an original live-action special featuring the same cast as the 2012 live-action series, with singer/dancer from EXILE, Akira as the titular lead. GTO’s main plot focuses on ex gang member turned teacher, Eikichi Onizuka, whose unorthodox ways of teaching his students actually manages to reach and successfully educate his students.

The 4-episode special was shot entirely in Taiwan, with dialogue in both Japanese and Mandarin Chinese. Cast members include Yuu Shirota as Onizuka’s friend Ryuji Danma, and Yusuke Yamamoto as Onizuka’s policeman friend, Toshiyuki Saejima. Taiwanese talent are also cast in the series, including Genie Chuo as a female teacher, and members of the Taiwanese boy band, SpeXial, also join the cast.

We've also got a new catalog title, Champion Joe 2, known in Japan as Ashita no Joe, going up TODAY at 3pm Pacific Time. ALL 47 episodes will be available right away for Premium Members, with 7 episodes released each Monday at the same time for free members.

Champion Joe 2 will be available for Crunchyroll members in the following territories: North America, Central and South America including the Carribean, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand

Joe, one of the top ranked boxers in the world, no longer has the yearning or desire to enter the ring again after killing his previous opponent by landing a wicked left jab to his temple.
His confidence and competitive spirit is restored when he decides to overcome his fear by facing the uncrowned king from Venezuela, Carlos Rivera.

However, the many years of boxing begin to take a toll on Joe as he gradually becomes weaker with each match. Although symptoms of his decline become evident to those around him, Joe is unaware of his conditions until his final match.

Joe’s girlfriend becomes worried that his continued bouts in the ring will further destroy the health of this fighting legend and she tries to persuade him to quit boxing. Being a stubborn and determined man, Joe rejects the notion of retiring even from the love of his life.

Joe has it set in his mind to become the champion of the world and he decides to face the reigning champ, Jose Mendosa in what becomes the fight of the century.

We hope you guys are as excited as we are for the start of the new season!

Thanks to TMS Entertainment and Crunchyroll for Champion Joe 2. An unexpected yet welcome catalog addition.

At the Anime Boston panel, GTO Taiwan got a lot of cheers. (I think there would be a lot that would love the anime of GTO to make its way here too).

Going by the announcements for the past 3 seasons, they should start between March 25-27.

1. Some people may have already seen the first series via less than legal means (and perhaps the second, but want to see it again legally).

2. Not everyone feels they have to view a prequel series first.

If CR's attitude was, "Well, we can't get all the previous series, so there is no use getting the simulcast", CR would be missing a number of series.

The bottom line, some people other than you do see a point.

I practically jumped with joy when I saw GTO on the list. Four episodes only is a bit sad, but it's still a show I'm looking forward to
