I hate when they use the trope of having the pair I ship not be canon. They really need to stop using that trope, it's getting old guys, the whole world is tired of it.

Gigantic ass build up in any situation and then HELLO AMNESIA or some equivalent to it like "I am leaving Japan to go off to the Netherlands for X reason that sounds stupid as hell".

Or Cliff hangers that are not even in any importance and I know will be resolved within the first 10 milliseconds of the next episode anyways so i end up not getting my hope up.

What is one cliche or trope of anime that you can't stand, no matter how much you love anime.

Mine is in a romance show where the two love interests don't say I love you or kiss until the final few minutes of the final episode of the show. If they are about to say or do it, they are interrupted. Frustrates me so much.

Anyone else?

This is by far the number one thing that pisses me off.

Neither is it realistic or necessary. I don't get why anime studios feel the need to do this shit. It just leaves the audience annoyed and unsatisfied.

I give props to animes that actually aren't afraid of letting the love interests kiss and confess to each other early on. For the most part, I would say it's way more fun watching a relationship develop once the ice has been broken, rather than waiting and getting teased for 25 episodes.

It does depend on the show though. Shows like Toradora, I would give a pass. But shows like Chunnbyio, I wouldn't give a pass at all.

Here's a classic: Girls beating up guys for no reason. I especially hate when it's because they're jealous. Yuka in Elfen Lied is a good example of terribleness.

Chunibyo cheats because they give little steps forward in the second season. They go from holding hands, to cheek kisses, etc. so it makes it seem like we are making progress, but we really aren't because they haven't full on kissed yet. I'm sure it will happen in the final episode coming this week.

Ya they try to hide it with all that stuff you mentioned, but in retrospect, nothing has happened really.

I thought they should have kissed at the end of season 1, but it didn't bug me too much. Then season 2 seemed like it was going to be ok up until after episode 7. Episode 7 left you with the first major progress and then nothing has happened since then. No one has capitalized on anything and it's pissing me off! They've been keeping us hanging for 4 episodes! Like c'mon!

And I will throw my computer across the room if they don't kiss on the last episode. Lol.

Especially since the new season is called "Heartthrob" and in the last season Rikka has gotten passed her father's death, I figured it was going to be all about their relationship, like a Clannad: After Story type thing except not nearly as traumatizing. But sadly, we have not gotten much of anything yet

That's what I was expecting too, but we haven't gotten much of anything..... It's disappointing for sure.

Animes I don't really want to watch are animes that feed off other animes fame. Like when SAO got big .... BOOM LOG HORIZON and BTOOM! just appeared out of no where. Don't get me wrong both are good animes I just feel like people ran out of ideas and can't come up with anything original. But at the same time if you really wanted to you could compare .Hack or even Digimon to them, but I do mean like just soon after one anime of that topic gets large everyone decides to make one too. there is a large time gap from .Hack and SAO.
