My laptop? Powerful? Hahaha... Yeah, right. I have one of those Windows XP laptops that will be losing customer support next month. I didn't receive a notification about Microsoft dropping them until last week. How lovely. And my laptop is too old to be upgraded to the new Windows, too.

I just bought a Lenovo desktop this month off Newegg for about $550. I'm pretty happy with it. For the price I definitely couldn't build anything better. I also slapped in my old graphics card from my other computer since it's still pretty good, and called it a day.

Windows 8.1 (Yucky, but with a Start button and hours of tinkering it's functionally the same as Windows 7)
Intel Core i5-3300 @3.0GHz (Previous gen, but sooo much better than the dual core it's replacing)
1 TB HDD 7200 RPM
1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (For a budget graphics card, this thing has performed extremely well for me)

Most games I have run great on highest settings, so I'm quite pleased. Lenovo's are great desktops.

Self built PC
AMD Fx-6100 OC @ 4.5 Ghz
16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
128GB Crucial SSD/2TB Seagate 7200 RPM HDD
3 way SLI EVGA GeForce GTX580
Asus M5A99X Evo Mobo.

Enough power to keep it around for a long while, I'm a computer nerd but I don't have to have the newest hardware in my machine, honestly what I have is still overkill and will continue to be for a long time to come. No games even in this day and age require that much power to play.

;-; I don't really know.
I don't think it's terribly powerful though. I tried making a bar in Maya. The finishing touch, which made my scene look less than awful, were two bookcases stuffed full of colorful, but simple rectangles of varying sizes.
My computer started lagging like hell at that point. It took me two hours of attempting to shift them around and reduce data where I could before I decided to delete them, which took half an hour. ;-; So much time wasted.

My current build is pretty nice, it'll play any current game at top specs, but this summer I'm gonna build a new rig. It's going to be a truly beautiful sight to behold.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
GTX 770 (Overclocked a tad)
500 GB SSD

It's a nice little animal; I mainly wanted my own custom build to fit my personality, so I made a Naruto-inspired build that I can still play most games I like without a hitch. Still doing some upgrades here and there.

Last Year I built my current desktop for FFXIV and watching anime.
Case: CM 942 full tower
Mobo: Asus sabertooth z77
CPU: i7 3770k @ 4.8 ghz
Ram: 16gb corsair platinums
GPU: GTX titan
Sound card: Asus stx essence
Drive: Asus Blu ray drive so I can burn my anime to my hard drives
SSD: samsung 256gb 830 series
Hard drives: 3 drives with 2.6 tb combined space So far I have only filled 1tb with anime due to compression I need more blu rays tbh
Wireless card: For when needed I have a asus PCE-AC66 802.11ac card though I prefer wired.
Cooling I have a custom water loop to keep it kool 1 360mm rad and a 240mm rad
Power supply: corsair HX 750 All sleeves cables for a nice blue/black design

I have been able to run everything on the highest detail
Example I currently play skyrim with 276 mods at once. Granted only 125 are purely graphic enhancing. I use about 4.2 gb of vram which is a fair amount for the game.
It of coarse plays my anime perfectly.
