Everything of mine is just about up to date, save for the CPU. It's been about 5-6 years since I've had this processor, but there's really nothing out there that would force me to get a better processor. Besides, most new games still use DX9 because of consoles.

I'm still looking forward to what AMD's Mantle can do to help push things further, and now Microsoft is finally releasing the DX12 API similar in design principle to Mantle, so we'll see how far they'll push our hardware in the future.

Then what percentage of Steam games do you think I can run with those specs?

You can have a powerful PC but if you have low end video card it's going to be a bottle neck and limit what you can do as far as gaming. The opposite is also true, with powerful video card and a CPU not fast enough to feed it. Though assuming you have a decent video card you can probably play most game just not with settings turned way up.

Radeon 7850 1GB (Mobo wont handle 2GB)
Ancient and cheaply made foxconn MOBO with a serial code as a name
Phenom II x6 2.9Ghz Forced OC to 3.2GHz
6GB Stock RAM

Just got a PS4 so im probably not building a new pc anytime soon, I mean this runs new games at medium quality so I guess it works for now

Wellllllllll......
They are older.....
I only have desktops.... I run BOINC, although not all the PCs at once... If I did that my power bill would be over $180 a month.... but I'd get some great RACs... I do use the heat from my PCs to keep my apartment warm, the colder it is outside the more PCs I run.

The oldest one that I still like to run when it gets cold out, Is a AMD64 X2 4800+, on a DFI Lanparty nF4 Mobo with 4 Gigs of DDR400 Ram...
I stuck a GTX 465 card on it so it gets pretty good RAC numbers even thought the CPU and the RAM only get it a 4.9 Windows Experience rating.... This PC can run Windows 8 rather well but it cannot run 8.1.... bummer...

The newest PC Is a AMD64 X3 450 Rana on a Gigabyte GA-970A D3P and 8Gigs of DDR3 RAM For some reason I have bad luck with this CPU... First I had an ASRock Mobo that lasted about eight months then I tried an MSI Mobo that died after about nine months. Being that this PC runs 24/7 I guess I get to find out just how good the Mobos are along with other things. The Asus GTX 460s keep on going pretty well and I did switch over to a SSD.... It rated a 7.2 WinExp... This is one of my DVRs . . . plays DVDs and BDs really well. It's plugged into my TV via HDMI

I think the most powerful one I have is an Intel i5 2500K in a Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 w/16Gigs DDR3 1600... I overclock it to 4GHz and it runs BOINC 24/7 that way... Being that I use it for Photoshop and such I don't run BOINC on it much anymore... slows things down a bit. I have an Sapphire HD 6850 and a XFX HD 6770 .... Being I don't run Crossfire (or SLI for that matter) BOINC works better without dual-card-links I can use what I can afford to buy.... would have loved to get two 6850s at the time though. Windows 7 x64 SP1

This PC that I am running now Is an Intel Q6600 I clock between 2.6 and 3GHz, on a Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT with 4Gigs of DDR3 1333 RAM... It runs Vista and sports an old ATI 5770/6770...

My best RAC production PC is an Intel Xeon X3350 on a Gigabyte Mobo and 2 Gigs of DDR2 1066 RAM It costs the most to run with two PNY GTX 465s and puts out a bunch of heat. Overclocking the CPU to 3.2GHz adds to that heat...

My other DVR/BOINC PC is another Xeon but a little X3210 in a Gigabyte Mobo with 4 Gigs of DDR2 800 RAM... It OCs to 3GHz but I keep it around 2.66... The LanLi case sucks for heat dissipation but it looks nice. It runs Windows 8.1and BOINC rather well and the MSI GTX 460Hawk is quite dependable.

I've got several more but.... they aren't running, it's in the 50s so I don't need the heat.
