Yeah, Honda and Toyota have been really innovative with their hybrid vehicles.
But Honda has stopped development with their's.
With the new FCX Clarity, Honda taking steps towards more hydrogen powered vehicle, as with Chevy.
But Chevy also is coming out with the Volt...an electrically powered vehicle. But rumors are that it shall have gasoline motor assist.
I think that as of right now, with Honda's move towards hydrogen...more and more companies will abandon their hybrid plans too.
Good idea or not, I don't know...aha the next couple years in this industry is going to be a crazy one.

Quite frankly, the hydrogen thing is kinda a good idea but it still needs more R&D. (Research and Development for those who don't know). It has more risks than rewards but I know they'll come up with something soon. I saw Nissan's concept car (I forgot what the name was though..LOL).I guess they're pretty much in the loop. Yeah, its really going to be one crazy market.

Hopefully GM, their cars still look like cars and not bastard abomination that is the direction Toyota is heading, not to mention toyota's quality have really fallen lately.

Am I seriously the only one who think GM is on the verge of a turn around here?

Skyline GT-R, end of story.

makes no sense. dont know if you meant nissan instead of skyline gt-r. lol You should read the question carefully...anyway id think a new company will dominate. Ive been watching history channel's modern marvel's and they got this vehicle that is powered only by batteries. if you had changed it to mpg, its estimated at around 200mpg. ah i forgot but its fast as well. 0-60 in like 4.something sec and top speed was high. o and it was like 3 hour charge or something or was it 5? forgot the maker

honestly, i think hyundai is going to be up there with honda, toyota, etc.
good styling, good lineup of cars from luxury to family to coupes, awsome warrenty, and quality has gone up soo much since the 90's

i change my call for toyota its time for TATA XP cheapest car ftw and their new concept.. not quite sure what technology they are going to use. its either a hybrid or a electric car. thats going to boost their profits as well. but this doesnt mean their sales is going to break toyota's im just saying that they will grow greater than toyota does.

well the thing is that the new GT-R is mainly for japan and is expensive in U.S, plus most "green cars" will dominate for sure. but the nissan company can probably take a stand at toyota's cars

Now this discussion will be very opinionated, as people have their own favorite cars and brands. That being said, you cannot simply choose a brand that will dominate the auto industry as a whole. There are many different aspects of the industry, and I don't think there will ever be a single manufacturer, let alone a single car, that will dominate.

Speaking in terms of technology and performance, I wholeheartedly believe that BMW is leading the way. Sure, Nissan is ready to release the Porsche-eating beast known as the GT-R, but take a look what what BMW has done with their cars, notably the M-series. The E92 M3 coupe is nothing short of phenomenal. From the standard-issue carbon fiber hood, to the V8 that weighs less than the inline-6 in the previous incarnation of the M3, BMW has done their homework. Also, with the technology package, you get the new M-Drive feature, which allows the driver to change the fuel management between 3 different progams (Normal, Sport, Economy). You also get EDC which allows the driver to choose how the suspension dampening is used (Normal, Sport, Comfort). You can do these from the comfort of the driver's seat, using only one button for each function.

i know... i said in an earlier post that i think toyota would claim next year. and im taking it back.

im just saying that tata will take it because of cheapest car and new hybrid/electric concept. however toyota would still have more cars on the road, tata might have bigger profits. i know that they are different companies...
