I've worked in restaurants/been a cook for 6 years, I honestly don't know what to tell people who can't cook, though when I'm home I almost never cook because I don't have the time and I don't have the resources to get the ingredients I want. But I can make some bomb ass salsa xD

By cooking do you mean something from scratch or out of a box?

by guys definition, they can all cook. "all guys can grill up a fine steak"
but, those are the same guy that don't know how to hard/soft boil an egg, make an omlette, or not pour beer in everything.

by my definition, knowing how to cook means that you have the intuition and a slight experience in what you are doing. and knowing what you are doing means that the food actually taste good and not like a bland/ beer drench food.

i got plenty of guy friends that can make good dishes, but its only those dishes. for example they can make a good chicken fajita, but there steak fajita taste plain at best.

knowing how to cook means take notice of acidity, being a great cook means you can take some means to balancing it. but that cuz i compete so my expectations are pretty high. knowing how to boil water for ramen is good enough i guess.

A man who can cook makes them all the more sexy. There is nothing like a man knowing how to take care of himself instead of expecting his woman to cook for him all the time. Now if you're a full time house wife then I'd understand but if both partners work then the responsibilities of cooking should be split.

I use to like cooking more when I was younger like I would cook pancakes or other breakfast stuff but as I got older I did it less and less. I still know some basics but not as well as I did but I do plan to learn to cook again I was raise that it's good to cook especially if it's for a girl you like.
Kinda sad that that was the main reason I was taught hahaha

leave betty out of this, anywho rice, beans, and veggies are without a doubt nutritious. but coming from a can is just harsh on your body. its not like it will kill you, but fresh ingredients are essentially the same, just requires work.

How do you feel about men who are actually pretty decent chefs at home? Does that throw you off, or is a nice addition to a well-rounded man?

Such a terribly awkward question.

To you, not me. I don't do awkward. Or guilt and shame.
