1. Nekomonogatari: Kuro (Would not be as good without prior seasons, but with them, it's fantastic.)
2. Kotoura-san (Killer first episode, Manabe is stud love interest. Fantasies joke miraculously never got old.)

1. Attack on Titan (Do I really need to give a reason for this? Episode 22 is good enough, if you must have one.)
2. Haiyore! Nyarko-san W (High energy, dumb humor, wildly inappropriate and infinitely lovable.)
3. Hataraku Maou-sama (Pretty much the pinnacle of situational and character-based comedy, with stealthy good themes)
4. A Certain Scientific Railgun S (Misaka runs this show, owns this franchise and shows why she's a top-tier female character.)
5. Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (CHAMMMBEERRRRR)
6. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU (Cynical protagonist, cute girls and some thought provoking questions raised.)

1. Gatchaman Crowds (Thematically rich show & Hajime dominates on-screen in the best way possible.)
2. Kiniro Mosaic (Absurdly cute, but genuinely funny moeblob.)
3. Love Lab (A top tier comedy with lovable characters and great humor. And I'm underselling it.)
4. Silver Spoon (Beautiful and authentic coming of age story from the writer of Fullmetal Alchemist. Name drop!)
5. Servant x Service (Average comedy with good characters. Hasabe is great.)
6. The Eccentric Family (Lovely and artistic show the espouses the importance of family. Beautiful.)
7. TWGOK: Goddesses (Great twist of the generic harem formula with real emotion included.)
8. Sunday Without God (A truly beautiful first three episodes give way to a mediocre show, but those episodes are just that good.)

1. Golden Time (An important work simply because of the raw emotion it puts on the screen.)
2. Nagi no Asukara (Beautiful P.A. Works artwork.)
3. Gingitsune (A peaceful, family-oriented slice-of-life that is heart-warming to watch.)
4. Non Non Biyori (Renge-chon. Enough said.)
5. Tokyo Ravens (Solid entry into the shounen fantasy genre. Very good characters.)
6. White Album 2 (Painfully honest look at high school romance. Held together by fantastic characters.)
7. Kyousougiga (An artistic, beautifully rendered story about a family that wants to reunite. Undersold, once again.)
8. Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Ars Nova (Better than advertised story about cute warships.)

Nekomongatari (Kuro) (I like the drama in Hanekawa's origin story; I feel this was more consistent than the main series)
Kotoura-san (The developments between Kotoura and Manabe are what I like to see in a romance anime)
GJ-bu (The characters' carefree attitudes and the show's approach to character interactions work for me)
Chihayafuru 2 (Lots of drama and tension elevate what would otherwise be a boring sport to watch)
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT (I like Kodaka's 'anti-harem' attitude and the theme of making friends without realizing it)
Minami-ke Tadaima (A lot of little touches make the comedy even more enjoyable to me)
Problem Children are Coming from Another World, aren't they? (I liked the gift games and the fantasy world)
Love Live! School Idol Project (The amount of drama and character development this had surprised me)

Hataraku Maou-sama! (A fun new spin on the 'sent to another world' concept)
Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko (Floored me with both comedy and a surprising amount of drama)
Suisei no Gargantia (I love the themes it addresses and how it doesn't make them feel overblown)
To Aru Kagaku no Railgun S (Amazing characterization combined with stellar storytelling and deep themes)
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU (The characters' philosophies mix with their relationships in interesting ways)
Yuyushiki (It made me laugh and smile a lot; I like the dynamic between the main three)
Aku no Hana (I'm amazed by how it makes little things very important)
RDG: Red Data Girl (I liked seeing Izumiko grow and face the fantastical challenges unique to her)

Daybreak Illusion (I was very invested in the characters and the hell they had to live through)
Gatchaman Crowds (Very smart take on the Super Sentai concept)
Sunday Without God (I love the grim fantasy world and its many mysteries)
Kin-iro Mosaic (The characters and little touches had me laughing at every little thing)
Rozen Maiden Zurückspulen (I liked seeing Adult Jun's way of dealing with the dolls and the Alice Game)
Senki Zesshou Symphogear G (Intense and suspenseful action and story; also, cliffhangers)
Tamayura ~More Aggressive~ (Calm, but moving; my new #2 Slice-of-Life series)
The Eccentric Family (I like the mature but fun story about family in a traditional era)

Nagi no Asukara (I love the characters and the coming-of-age story)
Kyousogiga (Insane yet sensible story about family coming together across time and space; one of my new favorite stories ever)
Little Busters Refrain (I liked the 'Key-like' plot twists and the theme of facing reality)
Gingitsune (The character interactions fascinated me to no end)
Galilei Donna (I liked seeing the sisters journey around the world and learn to face the world's true nature)
Non Non Biyori (Due to the slightly insane characters, there was never a dull moment watching this)
Golden Time (Clever take on a romantic relationship, and lots of drama between the main cast)
Kill la Kill (Incredibly over-the-top; it addresses most of what I don't like about shounen anime)

1) Haganai Next - My favorite Rom-Com series ever. While the quality fell short compared to first season. I still loved this show.
2) GJ-bu - Pretty good slice of life series. Also, the master of hair brushing.
3) Oreshura - Enjoyed this harem. First harem, I was on #team harem too.
4) Nekomonogatari - This strengthened the Monogatari series too be my top 3 series of all time.
5) Love Live! - While it felt a bit rushed, I did enjoy this Idol show quite a bit.
6) Problem Children are Coming from Another World, aren't they? - Really enjoyed the fantasy, but the Overpowered dude was pretty impressive as well.

1) Attack On Titan - Fantastic Show! It was non-stop entertainment
2) Haiyore! Nyarko-san - While it wasn't as good this season, still brought high energy and fun to the table
3) Oreimo - Despite having a bad ending, this one of those shows I enjoyed somehow.
4) Railgun S - The first 16 episodes were on path to becoming one of the best anime to sit on my top ten until the 2nd arc arrived. Regardless, this is still a fantastic show and everyone should watch this!
5) My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU - MC and the character designs of the other two females were outstanding. This is not the typical Rom-Com and a most definitely recommend watch
6) Gargantia - Chamber enough said
7) Date A Live - Pretty interesting Harem. Kurumi was my favorite. Overall, entertaining.
8) Henneko - While there was a episode that confused the living hell out of me. It was still touching and had me smiling in the end.

1) Rozen Maiden!!!!!!!! - My favorite anime of 2013!!!!!! All the characters, the plot, the aesthetics, and soundtrack were absolutely amazing
2) Fate/Kaleid - Love all the Fate series. Potential Yuri series? I am in.
3) Love Lab - This comedy came out of nowhere. CR added it during the middle of the season and I loved it. It was quite the adventure.
4) Monogatari Series Second Season - Hitagi End Arc and the Mayoi arc were legendary. Especially the dialogue between Shinobu and Araragi in the final episode on the way to save the other world of Mayoi. That dialogue was AMAZING!
5) The World God Only Knows: Goddess' - Haqua is my waifu. I have to support this series no matter what.
6) Silver Spoon - Very interesting slice of life. While watching it, I literally wanted to go to a school like this LOL!
7) Servant x Service - While the show itself is average, I would still recommend it to slice of life fans.
8) Kinmoza - The most refreshing out of all Slice of life that came out this season.

1) Kill La Kill - This show surpassed my expectations. All the Gamagori scenes were hilarious the way he was portrayed by varying sizes. Ragyo had to be the best villain this year as well. Even though I had some issues with it, the good out weighs the bad by A LOT!
2) Kyousogiga - The aesthetics in this show were brilliant!
3) Log Horizon - When I first saw this, I was like oooo no another Sword Art. Oh how wrong I was. They are not comparable. Enjoyed the politics and world building a lot.
4) Nagi No Asukara - This would have to be my second favorite show behind Rozen Maiden of 2013. The first 3 episodes were rough, but Hikari's personality change is very amazing. The show comes from the rough 3 episodes to majesticly (if that is a word) epic awesomeness.
5) Non Non Biyori - The best slice of life this season hands down.
6) Magi - Morgiana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7) Unbreakable Machine-Doll - This show was really average, but it was really entertaining.
8) Yozakura Quartet - There was something about this show that struck out. It has a charm in it thats for sure.

Question, do I absolutely have to vote for at least one show from each season? I ask this because....well Mangirl is the only Winter season show I watched and that sucked so I don't want to vote for it, so basically I'd be voting for nothing from Winter 2013.....

1. Senyuu One of the most creative short series that i seen with great humor that subverts and plays with all the usual tropes that you expect to watch with the hero saving with the world .

1. Hataraku Maou-sama: Demon lord being for to work for fast food company and slowly begins to like living in the modern world.

2. Suisei no Gargantia A great slice of life written by Urobutcher, deal with a boy from a mostly military background that is travels through a portal and finds himself on a world that is completely opposite of his own with different belief. Individually incident of conformity. Peace vs war. This boy is force to puts asides his beliefs that he grew up with to get used to this world that he is trapped in with the help of his trusty robot

1. Senyuu Dai 2-ki Sequel to one of my favorite winter 2014 shows. It reveals who the true hero is and build up the villains in this arc. See Senyu above for reasons.

1. Gundam Build Fighters My favorite hobby made into an anime.

2. Tokyo Ravens This series is one of the better light novel to anime translations to animes that i ever seen. Most of the anime is true to the anime with minor differently that really don't matter that much. The characters were good and not bland, animation was amazing, and the plot was awesome.

3. Kill la Kill At first i didn't think i like this series because of how the kamuis look but i decided to ignore the kamuis and watch the show for the series itself and not just because i didn't like what the main character was wearing. I was pleasantly surprise buy how good the story was and how good the character growth was. The villains were good that I loved to hated them. The main villain Ragyo was especially good and strong with how she decided to end her life with her own hands rather then living a normal life/reconcile with her daughters.

4. Log Horizon An interesting take on the getting stuck in a mmorpg, The players find ways to adapt with the world that they are stuck in rather then just tear up everything trying to find a way home. It focuses on economics and strategy rather then just rushing in head force but that doesn't mean that the battle itself are not bad. Battles are carried out cleverly and like how a normal person would when playing a mmorpg.

5. Yowamushi Pedal Interesting take on bike racing. Characters have great personalities and the races are fun.

6. Nagi No Asukara Good slice of life that deals with segregation, growing up, and interesting love ....heptagon.

It says "Pick at most 8 anime from each season..." which indicates that it's okay to pick fewer than 8, but not more than 8, so you should be good if all you don't want to submit anything, or only want to submit one thing, for Winter 2013.

1. The Unlimited Hyoubu Kyousuke - Basically the X-Men of anime, this show had a very interesting anti-hero as the lead. Fight scenes were great and the conspiracy kept me wanting to see more.

2. Oreshura - Chuunibyou if it was Yuuta and a sadistic girl blackmailing him. Although many will not see much value from this harem anime, I found the girls they introduced to be fantastic. The childhood friend (Chiwa) is a just top tier character and I found myself cheering for her to win.

3. GJ Club - A laid back show about...something. Seriously though, whether it was the insanely addictive OP that got my interest or the fact that I found hair brushing to be utterly hilarious, this show had its high points.

4. Problem Children are Coming from Another World, aren't they? - Overpowered characters? Check. Give them IDGAF attitudes? Check. Throw them into a high stakes competition with great fight scenes and fanservice to boot? Check. Very different take on battle shounen anime and I liked it.

5. Vividred Operation - Its like Madoka had a baby with science and added in more implied yuri and even more transformations (top notch transformations if I might add.

1. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU - Hikigaya gives no f*cks and he was a great lead because of it. Also, Totsuka is one of the most hilarious traps ever.

2. Yuyushiki - Girls living their lives and goofing off. Implied yuri all over the place. At the same time, its just another relaxing anime to watch and laugh along with. Also hit me in the feels a few times.

3. Date A Live - A good harem selection. Kurumi being basically one of the best yanderes introduced last year. It really does give me Sekirei vibes with the whole kissing aspect but it does its own things and I found all the characters likable.

4. Suisei no Garganita - The humanization of Ledo and Chamber becoming an almost guardian like figure to Ledo as the series progressed was just a sight to see.

5. Hataraku Maou-sama - Demon King gets a job in the present human world. He slowly begins to enjoy his time there. Nice. Chiho is adorable as well.

1. Kiniro Mosaic - Foreign exhange students with more implied yuri. There is a pattern to how I pick some of my shows it seems. Very cute show with some genuinely funny moments.

2. Silver Spoon - A great slice of life from an agricultural industry perspective. From the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist, I think she hit another gold mine with this in terms of quality.

3. Fate/kaleid liner Prisma.ILLYA - More magical girls? More yuri? More awesome fight scenes? Yes, it has all of the above and it was one of my surprises of that season.

4. Monogatari Season 2 - Shinobu Time and Hitagi End were some of the best arcs in the entirety of the Monogatari series. It hit me in the feels and made me look at a certain character in a new light.

5. Sunday Without God - Fantastic visually with an interesting concept twist of life and death. Ai is one of the cutest leads in the season.

6. Rozen Maiden Season 3 - I think I enjoyed this one more than previous seasons due to its lead being more closer in age to me.

1. White Album 2 - One of the few times where I was truly conflicted between who I wanted as an OTP in a love triangle. Both girls were great characters and I found that they did have realistic motivations for the events in the show.

2. Yowamushi Pedal - I didn't expect a sports anime about biking to be so exciting. It is.

3. Kill la Kill - Some great characters from Satsuki to Mako to even some of the villains. Action was balls to the walls crazy.

4. Non Non Biyori - Slice of life in the country. Hit me in the nostalgia and made me want to go back to simpler times with no cares in the world.

5. Arpeggio of Blue Steel Ars Nova - One of the few FULL CG anime done right. Great cast of characters in terms of the ship models.

6. Kuroko no Basuke 2 - Another sports anime that is just pure hype each episode.

7. Gingitsune - Hit me in the feels. Multiple times.

But you do still have a couple weeks to check out at least the first episode or two of some of them. Maybe you'll find something you'll like yet?

Kill la Kill I've only watched five episodes so far, but I am in love.

Attack on Titan: Anime with great suspense and a lot of mystery making for a very entertaining ride. Not to talk of breaking waves across the anime community.

Kill la Kill: Definitely the best anime of the fall. Great and memorable characters and an awesome soundtrack (especially Blumenkranz). A great combo of comedy and action as well.

Log Horizon: Great execution of an interesting idea with a good main character in Shiroe. Built a great world with great organization.

Samurai Flamenco: Nice portrayal of the hero trope with lots of twists and turns and very funny moments.
