I was arguing with some friends the other day about which of the big three grunge bands was the best. I personally couldn't answer because I love all of them and respect each for being different (though I was leaning towards AiC), but some in the argument had very distinct opinions. We also decided to count Audioslave and Soundgarden as one because we all know that Cornell is what makes those bands. So which of the big three grunge bands do you like best and why?

Soundgarden && Audioslave <3
Also...as for why...
I don't really have any specific reasoning, I mean, I LIKE Nirvana. But SG will always be special to me. Audioslave is okay but SG is a band I can put in any time, any day.

Sweet Christ that's a hard decision.

I think I'll have to go with Alice in Chains this time around.

Alice in Chains.

The harmonies between the lead singer and Jerry Cantrell are amazing and while he isn't the greatest guitarist in the world, I've always enjoyed Jerry Cantrell's playing.

Nirvana was the grunge version of punk, Soundgarden was the alternative straying into old school metal band of grunge, and I'd say Alice in Chains was pretty metal with a grunge attitude. I like them all, but Alice in Chains will always be my favorite.

I do wish I had seen Nirvana in concert, which will never happen. There is no Nirvana without Cobain.

God I hope you're joking. Aside from that, have some respect for Kurt. Most believe he didn't kill himself, there's even a big documentary coming out about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IROv4dE_p_E

AiC out of the 3. But I like all of em. Grunge was too short lived, or rather, it lived long enough to become crap.

Kurt was a just whiny (just like grunge music) punk...

Dude had money, fame, women, but he couldn't take it...poor baby ..

And because this generation doesn't have a who shot Kennedy conspiracy to chase, now they are gonna push a who REALLY killed Kurt?! LOL
