I don't mind them really. I have been given a few nicknames. Jesus, Sasquatch, Hodor and Just. The one I like best though is Eichi. Given to me by a friend years ago. I call other people by whatever they want me too unless it's too long. Then sometimes I will give a shortened variation as their nickname. For some girls I do tend to call them babe though. I know it isn't always welcome but it sometimes just slips out. My brains sees it as a way to identify those I am closest to.

I think they're cute (as long as they're not offensive, of course), but not when it comes to myself xD I always listen for others to call me by my real name, not a nickname! When they call me by a nickname I always feel confused for a few seconds before realizing that they are talking to me, haha!

Well it kind of depends on whether or not the person being dubbed with the nickname likes said name to begin with. For me I don't mind the nicknames I was given, but if I didn't I'd probably find them extremely annoying and hate to be called them. Anyway my nicknames are:

"Gracie/Gracie Joy:" My real name is Grace and my middle name is Joy. Self explanatory.

"Racegay:" My name in Pig Latin which my sister likes to call me.

"Poopiebutt/Poopiehead:" Apparently my older sister called me this for whatever reason when I was little. So growing up my family members would call me this.

"Kenyan:" Don't exactly remember how this came about, but my friends at school would call me this. I think it had something to do with me being black and us having a coversation about Kenyans being fast runners and me being a fast runner myself. Thus I was called "Kenyan". xD

Too personal. I don't even like calling people by their first name.

The nickname I go as is Pinky. Every time I meet someone I get introduced as "Pinky" or my real name Qualeshia. The common thing people ask me is "Where is Brain?" I'm Pinky because I like the color pink.

I love nicknames. I love giving people nicknames, mostly. It makes me feel closer to them.

I do tend to tease my friends with names they don't like, but it's all in fun. One guy even came around to liking a nickname that I gave him, even though he hated it at first. Any nicknames I give are just short versions of their given names, so it's nothing embarrassing or offensive.

I have had some... Mildly offensive nicknames from my dark days in middle school, but other than that, it's just a shortening of my name. A few people have called me Chris (mostly my brother), my mother's family calls me Christy, and some have even shortened it to C. Most people just call me by my full name, Christine, though. (Or they mispronounce it as Christina or Kristen, which is mildly annoying, but I don't much mind.)

They aren't annoying at all. I don't mind people calling me Jess or Jessie because I've always been called that since I was a baby

They can be either fun or just annoying.
I get numerous nicknames at my school by my peers that annoy me.
The nickname my girlfriend uses is actually kinda fun to have.

Personaly I like nicknames but It can get a little annoying

I give my friends nicknames too. I like to annoy them by calling them anime characters that look like them or act like them or act like them
as an example:Sora-chan sometimes acts like Konata from lucky star So I call her Konata-chan.
Or somtimes we have group names like a group of anime characters (E.G: Me, Ai-chan and Miu-chan are the three girls from Acchi Kocchi, Me: Tsumiki, Ai:Hime, Miu:Mayoi
so we will say "Good morning, Hime" or "Good morning Mayoi" like that. So nicknames can be fun somtimes)
and I actually have uite a few but these are what my friends or family call me

Tsuki (because my name is Tsukiko
Kiwi
Kiki
Amber (I can't remeber how this one started but quite a few people call me this)
Ika-chan
and the last one:
Kuma
