Where do you prefer to live or want to live large city, small town in the country , Myself I hate large cities I prefer a small town . The town I live in is 350 people .There is basically no crime rate and I know the people around me . I watch out for them they watch out for me . When I lived in a large city my car was broken into on a regular basis people around the area always seemed to be pissed off and bitter . Small town for me from now on

Well, I prefer small towns myself. But the big cities aren't so bad.

Big cities are nice to visit, but I'd personally hate to live in one. Too much stress. I prefer my small suburbish type town.

I want to live in a big city because I haven't done it yet!! I want to go to see a bunch of attractions, go to the shows, the park, the library, the gardens, the aquarium, cafés, restaurants! I'm just bored of staying where I'm living right now. There's nothing of interest here...

Whitedove being young and in a small town can be boring but when I moved to a large city there was night life but I just got lost in the masses and missed my friend from the country . Spent years traveling to larger cities and never did feel at home just lost in the numbers . Became terrified of fling one day and went back to a small town started my life over and have never been bored since so travel and see the world butnever let go of who you are or where you come from you may need it again someday .

I've been here and there thanks to the military, small towns, large towns, and even areas where there's nothing, and only around 200 homes in the area. Through those times and places, I've come to the conclusion that I would want something in between, living in a smaller area right outside a medium/large city. That way I have my nice quiet surroundings at home, and then if I ever have the need, I can drive downtown and enjoy what people living in larger cities would. Also makes it easier for me to get my new games when they come out. (;

My problem with small towns is they're so homogeneous. Everyone pretty much thinks and acts the same. If you don't "fit in" it's hard to find like minded people. For example, I've asked pretty much everyone I work with if they've seen the new "Cosmos" series. No one has and most didn't know what it was. I can only imagine if I brought up anime.....

I see. I will keep that in mind! Thanks! And don't worry, I just want to experience a little piece of something from the "outside world." I'm indoors too much, so I want to go and see many places I've never been. At the end of the day, coming home and relaxing after an eventful day is the best!!

I've lived in big cities, or at least suburbs very close to them my whole life. I can't imagine what it'd be like to live in a town so small, you know everyone and any mistakes that you make, everyone will know.
I'd like to stay in the big city. I like the convenience it offers, the events you can pull off with a big enough budget and a good plan.

I really liked where Jay Gatsby lived in The Great Gatsby, on the seemingly empty edge of West Egg!

I prefer the big cities.

I like entertainment and I'm a software engineer who loves Internet. So... Big city.

I like getting video games, music, movies, consoles, phones, TVs, computers, etc. DAY ONE! So big city.

I like people(somewhat), so I prefer bumping into cool people in libraries, book stores, movie theaters, malls. Etc.

I can visit the countryside, where I visit mom and pa'. But I couldn't live there, maybe after I do LOTS of living and working, I will settle down on the outskirts of town to raise my preferable large litter of children.

I don't care for metropolitan cities with skycrapers and the like, but neither do I want to live in isolated and small towns. I prefer the varying middle zone. Ideally, I want to live in a quiet, woodsy, and mountainous rural area about 30-45 minutes outside of a lesser-developed city, and with at least one larger city within a 2-4 hour drive; however, admittedly, after exploring Okinawa Prefecture via Google Maps ("traveling" by using Google Maps is a pastime of mine), I greatly enjoy the area around the Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine.
