I barelly watch anime these days, most of it is boring.
I even have a break from One Piece. Haven't watched maybe the 7 last episodes.
Haven't watched Naruto for maybe 30 eps now. Stupid filler with the moms made me go bored of it. I love the Naruto action and such, and the plot where I left off was great.

I'm mostly playing games these days. Dark Souls, Dragon's Dogma and some others.

Fortunately there's not much good stuff still happening. Everything pretty much ended for me last week thank god. I think Spring season has less shows I'm interested in but that's a good thing. Hunter x Hunter will stil be the show I binge when there's enough episodes for me to do so. Maybe once it hits 125-130

Other than that, maybe I'll watch Captain Earth and Break Blade. I'll also give Haikyuu a try. I need a replacement for the generation of basketball miracles

I wish I could go back in time to January and tell myself the few good series that I should watch, instead of sticking with some shows only to be incredibly disappointed at the endings. if I did that, I would've only watched 4 shows this season, and probably wouldn't feel so burned out. I'm not going to be so forgiving next season, that's for sure.

I'm actually planning on taking a break when the spring season rolls around. . . And I'm gonna start catching up on live action shows like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Hannibal, etc. Not much of a change really.

I know the feeling. You lose your spark with something you once had such passion for. This reminds me, I need to rekindle that ember.

The last few seasons of anime has not improved much, mostly watching it for the sake of watching it. There have not been an anime catered to my tastes, even the good ones. However, with the announcement of a new Macross series, that has whetted my appetite for anime, again.

Again, I know the feeling quite too well.

I think the rest of this year looks promising. A few titles, anyhow...

I have not seen the chart, only a few that people have linked. It will most likely be the same as any other season, for me anyways.

By a few do you mean 3-5?

Edit: speaking of d2, anyone playing u.s east with an eth colossus blade ft? give you 3 hrs for it.

It depends on the anime, some like Strike the blood and Psycho pass I can watch without stopping but others I need a break if there's a lot of talking like bleach or if it's a school life one.

I quit playing video games all together, if that counts. My 12 year old's obsession with them caused me to reevaluate what I was getting out of my time gaming. It had been building for a while though. I remember finishing a long session of BF3 and wondering why I had just chosen to spend several hours with a bunch of random assholes. I have suggested people on CR take a break a few times now. If you aren't enjoying it anymore, do something else. You can always come back later and catch up on the good stuff if you miss it. If you don't, then you haven't really lost anything have you. What I hope you don't do is watch shows that make you miserable and then spread your misery around. Anime fandom is one of those things that people tend to make part of their identity, so they hold on to it way to long. People change and our tastes change over time, particularly in that 17-25 age window. Don't fight it, let it go, it will always be here if you change your mind.

Yeah, 3-5. Last time I checked, anyway. I only checked Spring titles, by the way.

This is pretty much me. Except its not just Anime and Video Games, I have like 5 or 6 different things I cycle through: drawing, manga, video games, anime, projects around the home, probably something else I am forgetting...

Anyway right now with the winter season over, I feel like I should take a break from Anime, I know I won't though because there is probably a half dozen shows that just sound good or I am looking forward too, and I usually find another half dozen or more when I start watching everything (since for the last 3 seasons I have watched everything FUNi and CR put out), but what I noticed near the end of the season is I would just binge watch everything from the week on one or two days, even though I am home all day every day thanks to my job, and then use the rest of the week on video games or house projects.

I'm like 30 manga volumes behind on what I have bought, just haven't started reading them, but I bought them cause they were either on sale, or well I wanted them. I'm also like half finished with a couple of drawing projects from the last time that tickled my fancy. So hopefully soon my interests will switch again so I can catch up on things i'm behind on in my other interests.

I don't have this problem because I watch Anime and read Manga and Fan Fictions. All have to do with Anime in a way, so I don't ever leave it, but they are in different forms so I don't get burned out. If I am not finding any good Manga or Anime I can go to Fanfictions. Same with the other way around. It says me from getting frustrated and burned out. The thing that happens though is that I find myself stuck on one of the three and don't go back to the other two for awhile. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.

It happens. Maybe you're tired of anime itself or maybe you're just watching the wrong ones. Try to find something you really enjoy, but if you can't, then yeah. Take a break, and whenever you get the hankering to watch anime again, do it.

Ah. Then the solution is to be addicted to a great many things.
