So, for those who are in work, or those who have worked, have you ever had bad experiences with your boss/ex boss?

I can't stand mine, infact she has utterly no personality and is a procedure after procedure after procedure kind of person.

I have it pretty good when it comes to bosses. I'm pretty much paid for my expertise so the people I report to for the most part leave me alone to do my work, and when something does come up, they want to know my thoughts on it and listen to my advice. I never even met the guy who signs my paychecks, we've just exchanged a couple of emails at times when he needed some information. It is very true that the more you are paid, the less people watch what you do.

However, I have experienced a bad boss before. My first job out of college, many, many years ago, was a clerical position with the government. We really were treated like kindergartners. Rules upon rules, they never punished bad workers so you had to do their jobs on top of your own, and all you ever heard was how harder the job was when they had your job and how much more they did. You got in trouble if you came in more than 15 minutes late, but you also got in trouble if you were more than 15 minutes early. That place was really 4 years of hell. I hated it so much I went back to school to get a masters degree in IT and moved into a professional career.

The only problem I ever had with my ex boss was he smelled so AWFUL most of the time... Even during the interview, it completely trapped the smell into the room. It just smelled like grease and B.O. I casually put my shirt up over my nose sometimes just to relieve myself of the smell.

I'm imagining that on your final day, you bought him some deodorant as a 'thank you' present?

My co-workers actually joked about that. I wanted to, oh god.

I like all my bosses... they look out for me and are... parentlike towards me.

I want to say how much I appreciate their support... but I feel like I'm not coherent enough when it comes to speech. So I decide to buy Easter bunnies chocolate and write my feelings in a card.

I can express my gratitude much easier with words.

All my bosses have been cool with me. There have been some that annoyed me with their stupidity sometimes, but they've always been nice to me and apologized when they caused me trouble or at least acknowledged the extra work I had to put in so I can't really complain.

My dad is my boss, I also work alongside my brother... it's not easy to work with family.

I've had good ones and bad ones. The good ones are sort of rare, but as long as the people around me work, I don't really even care for whatever type of personality they have. for 90% of all the jobs I've acquired it's only meant one thing for me. A paycheck.

I've had good and bad experiences with bosses. I became friends with my last boss and the line was blurred between boss and friends, sometimes I felt frustrated about the things they would do, we used to fight a lotttt but nothing about work... It was comedy for the rest of folks but not for me because the boss was very tsundere type, and me who seemed like a those slightly sympathetic protagonist... ANYWAYS that boss no longer works there, so it worked out for the better. We still talk though.

My Boss is legit. He gives me. constructive criticism with a whisper. This gives me the ability to review my works and be a perfectionist.
