Yea, that power would be cool but then you see everything coming and not tell someone, that's hard to do. Its hard to keep a secret that big you know and not tell one person, I think that will consume you and make you kill yourself.

Ugh please think about it. Making vague predictions about disasters, which are undated, and then an event occurs that happens to match the hugely vague "prediction" made by someone; And then people, I don't know why, match the two together.

We see patterns everywhere, but it does not necessarily mean they are fundamentally connected.

He is overrated.

He did exist and was real, but I believe that humans do not have to power to predict the future. If anything supernatural was behind it, I believe it to be demonic. But honestly it's all fake imo. Natural disasters are bound to happen.

^ Isit? That should be interesting. Anyway, there are still many unknown things in this world. It doesnt come as a surprise if someone could really foresee the future. But I pity that person though, cause no one would believe him and he wouldnt be able to do anything (if something bad was going to happen). He can only sit back and watch in horror as his prediction comes true. What a crused fate.

He had a silver plate inside his clothes when he was buried.
In 1700, when some people dug up his grave, they couldn't believe the inscription on the plate.

He is a real person that existed ages ago. But whether or not his predictions have basis or are true, that I could never tell.

Of course his "predictions" came true. They're so damn vague, they can be applied to almost anything. You would think that if he actually knew these things, he would be a bit more detailed with the predictions. I could do the same thing.

I think you mean "a prophet hundreds of years ago that made extremely vague predictions that can be made to mean almost anything depending on how you interpret them."

The thing about Nostradamus was that he believed that time was cyclical. He wrote about important events in the past because he believed that they would happen again.

No one has ever figured out what he meant before it happened. They can only shoe-horn his prophecy into something after the fact.

the book of revelations predicted the russian revolution and such, but its harder to tell because it was written from the perspective of a man who was born 2000 years ago.

Have you ever read the book of Revelations? I have and I don't recall any mention of Bolsheviks.

Hmm foretelling the future? I hardly can relate it being possible. Yet the world has possibilities anyways. Someone did foretell something will happen in 2012 but lets not get off topic... I'm not really sure if hes real or not but its for think whether you believe it or not.

I think the 2012 prediction came from either the Aztecs or Mayans.

I believe it's the date that the Mayan calender ends, 11:11 AM GMT on the 21st December 2012. It was an incredibly advanced system and a number of people believe that the end of the calendar the world will end. Most Mayan scholars believe that to be a misinterpretation of the Long Calendar. ( http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/2007-03-27-maya-2012_n.htm ) According to the Mayan calendar the world began in 3000BC so...

Oh and Nostradamus believed that the world would end in 1999.
