Hi, I'm new to the forums so I'm not sure if I'm in the right place. With the release of the English version of Steins;Gate, I was wondering if the disc would run on a chromebook. I do have a pc but I have a big family so I don't get much time on it so I've been thinking of getting a chromebook. If chromebook won't run the game, can someone recommend a budget laptop good for playing visual novels. Thanks in advance.

I believe it is only being released for Windows, so a Chromebook won't work out of the box.

A VN shouldn't require too high spec a computer, so as long as you get something that beats the minimum requirements, you should be fine: http://rightstuf.com/i/sg001le

For example, HP* has a touchscreen notebook with Windows 8.1, starting at $319.99. However, it does not come with an internal DVD drive, so you may need to buy an external drive if you plan to purchase a physical copy of the game: http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Laptops/HP-Pavilion/E8Y79AV?HP-Pavilion-10-TouchSmart-10z-e000-Notebook-PC-ENERGY-STAR-
