Synopsis

The Third World War has been ended by the efforts of Kamijou Touma. With that, he vanished. This is a world where Kamijou Touma does not exist. With the Magic Side regrouping, the Sabbath for their followers has arrived.

In the headquarters of the Science Side, Academy City's strongest Level 5 Esper Accelerator has washed his hands of the "Darkness." Along with Last Order and Misaka Worst, his days pass by peacefully with no sign of GROUP.

Hamazura Shiage has formed a new ITEM with Kinuhata, Takitsubo and Mugino. Peace has come to the hands of the alumni who have "graduated" from Academy's Dark Side at last... at least until a new evil "first year student" appears before them.

I wish the anime would go ahead already and catch up to New Testament. Love this so much!

There is the 10 year anniversary announcement of the original series on 4/10/2014 so I hope we get something.

The series is amazing, but relatively unknown in the Western world. I also want to point out that NT 9 was the best thing ever created.

I hope we get announcement for Season 3 of Index. I'm on volume 5 of NT right now so will be catching up soon to 9 maybe tomorrow. Can't wait!

Please forgive my ignorance but what does NT stand for? I really want to get into the Magical Index series and have finished both of its seasons. However, I have no idea where I can LEGALLY read the manga to see what happens after the ending of the anime. Can anyone, if at all possible, help me out here.

It would be nice if the April 10th announcement was for a new anime. There's more than enough source material for an ongoing series, but I'll be happy if we can just get through World War Three.

NT 9 was just... I hate how much I loved it because now I can't see anything other than Toma x Othinus. Such misfortune!

Actually what we're talking about here is not the manga, but the light novel. Just in case you didn't know, a light novel is pretty much a somewhat short piece of textual literature with a few manga-like pictures throughout the book. Right now there are no plans for the Index light novels to be localized outside Japan, but I could imagine Yen Press picking it up in the future if the sales for the Index and Railgun anime series, and sales for the SAO light novels and Railgun manga do well. Maybe Seven Seas would do it since they own the license for the Railgun manga.

Also, NT 6 is my favorite. NT 2 is a good 2nd. Tfw when so many main characters come together is so HNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG

Is it fine to open up a thread for a light novel on a forum for manga? ....Well I don't see CR offering an alternate forum so I guess its okay. Regardless, shouldn't we be getting some information on NT 10 soon? I'm pretty sure that the cover at the very least gets released at around this time (NT 10 release date May 10) along with the usual book summary. I'm really excited for it, while I still think WWIII is still the best arc in the series NT 9 was the best individual volume and if he manages to have NT 10 be on that same level and complete the arc I think it can surpass WWIII.

As soon as it hits New Testament the series really takes its time with fleshing out Touma's character. And I can't even describe how great everything is.

Yeah, WWIII should be all covered in the third season which will be announced on the tenth. (Hoping) Slightly off topic, I hope we get a Heavy Object anime soon(ish), it would be great.

MAL doesn' t actually have a separate thread for the Index manga/LN's and so I guess this probably works.

I prefer NT 9 to any of the others, but believe NT 10 will be better like usual. April 10th might announce a new anime. It is the 10th anniversary. May 10th is when NT 10 comes out. (yeah like you said).

This is the second three volume arc, so I think NT 10 will surpass WWIII since next volume is supposed to be a boss-rush volume.

For people who want to read the light novels, we're not exactly at liberty here to say where you can read it, but I will mention that you might be able to check Wikipedia for some links.

I recommend trying out the TAMNI ToaruMajutsunoIndexwikia.com which will give you links you need to stuff if you want to read stuff in addition to what the anime has to offer. That is probably the best wiki for a series I have ever seen. It has really good information/links to other stuff, and has a lot of it.

After season 2, you would start reading the novels from Volume 13, but I recommend re-reading Volume 5 epilogue, Volume 6 Epilogue, Volume 12 epilogue, and brushing up on SS 1. The anime rushed some things, so I recommend re-reading these parts. I like it more than the anime anyway, so I recommend you try it if you are interested if you manage to find the volumes.

After I had finished the original Index series and I heard that Touma died, I was like screw this and just decided to re-read Index LN, only to find out that touma doesn't die, and with my OCD I couldn't just skip ahead to NT, either way I ended up just stopping at NT volume 3 for a while around January, and am about to pick it up again. Though I never watched the anime, I know you can get it at funimation's website for free(legally of course ).
