Well, humans technically have over 14 senses by default by scientific terms e.g proprioception. The 5 sense idea falls into the group of most commonly accepted false information.

Besides that, can humans have extra senses? Some people already do, *cough *cough magnet implants, animal sense copies too.

It's possible to trigger "telekinesis" through quantum mechanics but don't count on it. To Aru Majutsu no Index's espers' abilities are based on this.

Oh crud... I thought "ESP" meant... Oh never mind.

No it doesn't bloody exist!

ppl need to stop making shits up to support supernatural theories.

there's a 1million dollar challenge for anybody who can prove their psychic powers to them... if you think you can read the future, feel free to go there and prove it to them and 1million dollars might be yours. yet nobody has claimed it yet, how absurd...

I'm curious as to what you thought it meant.

Correct. People come up with some possibilities that seem likely to explain something, science wittles down the realm of possibility until you arrive at some things that have not been disproven. That is, any theory of science is just people saying "we've tried to see if this thing is wrong over and over, but it still seems to fit." The reason I disagree with you is because ESP has been disproven. Not the claim that "ESP exists," but rather, claims of given people saying "I have ESP." The claim "I have ESP" is rather simple to disprove with a criteria. Define what you're talking about -- "I can see the future", for example -- and ask them to see the future. Disproving the claim "nobody has ESP" is, yeah, impossible. The claim that "every living person has a brain" has also not been proven. And yet, I'd be fairly confident that anyone that says "I have a brain" would have no trouble demonstrating its truth.

So yeah, it's possible ESP exists. I'd guess not though.

I think your dreams are just extremely similar to what's been happening in real life lol.

In all seriousness:
I'm secretly an esper.
Concocted in a laboratory by the Japanese government.
There, I learned to fight against aliens and any thing that is supernatural.
It is my sole duty to capture and kill if necessary.

My girlfriend's a vampire, but we have a secret, forbidden relationship that I keep from my fellow agents of the North.

ESP is real (please research what real ESP is before assuming it's telekinesis and telling the future etc.) . Humans having ESP, while possible, has never been demonstrated to be true. The James Randi Educational Foundation offers 1 million dollars to anyone that can prove the supernatural. Not surprisingly, nobody has been able to claim the money.

Edit: And, no, science does the exact opposite of what you just claimed. Things that do not exist can not be proven to not exist; you can only show that nobody has evidence yet (ex. bigfoot). Science can most assuredly prove that things DO exist.

Possibly... Considering how little we know about how the brain really works.

I wouldn't put it past people having an ability to predict correctly, fragments of a small futures but I doubt they can control what they choose to dream or see about the future. If the past, present and future are indistinguishable realities then this ability would be even harder to direct and control. Do I believe people can see your past even if they haven't experienced it with you? Yes. I don't think that we are alone, other "invisible" entities might walk with us and there just might be people like Ginko from Mushishi LOL.

Your argument is logically a waste of time, there are infinite things science can not prove. Richard Dawkins is not biased to science. That statement makes no sense. He has stated should god come forward and reveal him/her/itself then he will believe. But at that point it would be unscientific to not believe as there would be evidence for it. The real funny thing is the people who would not believe in the god that came forward would be the religious. As some religious people ignore facts, and that there are many conflicting gods then mathematically a certain amount of religious people would not believe in the real, all powerful god even with evidence. Based on this probable truth, who do you think is biased?

I view ESP as possible, but I highly doubt that the supposed reality of it is any where near as fantastical as many people want to believe (I'm extremely skeptical about DC/Marvel-level abilities), and believe that, assuming that ESP does exist, it can be observed by sufficiently advanced science/technology. After all, science has barely made a dent into how the human mind works, and even intuition and instincts can arguably be seen as treading into so-called ESP territory.

I've been having Deja Vu moments almost every day lately, and it happens at the same time, I notice. It's always at exactly 12:26 PM. No matter where I am, I'd feel that exact moment has happened in the same place I am at, at 12:26 PM. At that time today, (because it's almost 2 where I am) I was in my kitchen, and I had a Deja Vu moment.

Just thought I'd share, because it's freaking me out a little.
