I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 PRO that I use only 25% for anime! However if I listen to music I use 75% and even have a headphone amp for exampler older You Tube videos.

I use them all the time!

I would crank up my volume more if I wasn't paranoid that loud noises would distract everyone around me.

Max. I will be deaf by the age of 30. Lol

What is so Lol about it? Don't you value your hearing or you think that life stops after 30?
I understand, that you partially joking, while thinking that you won't be actually deaf after all, right?

I think that'r right - most probably, you won't get exactly deaf (though contributing to such possibility later in life). But you can damage hearing partially and even this can greatly damage many important sides of life.

Damaged = worse than that of average people around you.
This means that speech which is loud enough to comprehend, to their opinion, is not loud enough for you.
So all it takes for you to be unable to comprehend their lines in conversation is for them to talk close enough to what they consider minimum.
You'll need to ask people to repeat themselves, and, first, you'll be embarrassed to do it every time, second, for them it will be abnormal/confusing too, so they will just prefer to say: "oh, that's nothing", "forget it, not important" and break the conversation.
This means your communication with family and friends, social life, will suffer, plus you will have problems with any job that requires verbal communication with colleagues or clients.
This alone can cause clinical depression.

But even before that, listening music too loud can get you in yet another problem: tinnitus + hyperacusis.

It's incurable, but not life-threatening. Though some who have it very bad commit suicide, but majority learns to live with it, anyway, here's a list of some of the changes it introduces to lifestyle: you cannot attend live music show, like rock or classic concerts (whether as listener or as a musician), cannot listen music in earphones ever again, cannot go to movie-theater with your friend or loved one; any unpredictable / sharp sounds (like someone doing some random noisy housework) drive you insane. Plus little bonuses like no coffee and no salty food :)

I don't want to sound like some sort of mom, and I understand that sometimes we just need to listen some favorite tracks loud. But for me it works well enough through speakers - I love to "fill" the room/flat with the music and also better because you can dance to it! :D
While in most of the times average or just below average is pretty enough I think.

I mean, guys. If you really love music that much, this means you probably will love it in future too, so don't take it away from yourself, take care of your ears.

Some of you need to calm down, it's not that big of a deal listening to loud music.
Unless you blast it for hours at a time I guess?

As for me it just depends on the headphones.. usually 70-80%

I keep my music loud because it shuts out everything else. Also, if you're in the right place at the right time listening to the right song, the whole world becomes a music video.

The lowest possible that I can comfortably listen to. Depending on the audio source that's usually around 30-40%
Just like your vision it's something you can never get back, and it's a lot harder to correct hearing than vision.

I HAD a pair of Beats at One point in time, but ridiculous Me ended up literally misplacing them...SOMEWHERE...and to this Day have never found them. Grrrrrrrr...But otherwise, when listening to Music on the Computer, and even in the Car, I merely keep it at listening level. I'm One who has never really approved of having whatever it is that I'm listening to blasting and bumping out of the Speakers as loud as possible. On special occasions, like Parties and such maybe for a mosh pit. But other than that, I just like it at a mid level. One in which I can just kinda zone out. I wonder if there are Others like Myself?

As much as is needed to hear clearly, but I'll sometimes turn it up a bit more for something I'm really excited about listening to. My hearing is really sensitive, so it doesn't take much.

50% when I'm just alone.
100% when I'm at school, don't want to hear any of the shit they have to say.
