Depending on your reasons for lying. If you're trying to surprise someone then it's fine, or keep something hidden from someone you don't particularly like or really just don't wish to share information with then I suppose it's okay. Other than that, I see no other reason too.

This topic is old as hell, but I totally was about to make a new one on lying. This will work!

I'm a strong advocate of lying and I will lie if it won't turn out bad for anyone involved.

For example, whenever I do Skype calls with my Honey Badger gang and a new and young Honey Badger pops up and laments that she monkey branched far too much for her to tell any potential partners that may ask. My suggestion is to: LIE!

There's no reason why you shouldn't, she had over 15+ sexual partners from highschool to her second year in college. And she didn't wanna tell men that she had that many, as she was looking for a good mate and not a good ONS.

We all told her to lie, feigning ignorance or not answering will let the guy do his mind math and let him apply numbers to get some absurdly high result. Don't let him do that! Just say: "I have two exes, that's all."

Bam, problem solved!

I dont lie, there is no point in lying. I'd rather not say anything to someone than lie to them. Usually I lie if its someone I want to become friends with or impress. But most of these are white lies.

Like in my post above yours, it may be to answer a question. I only lie in response or tell people to lie in response to a question.

Otherwise, it's not needed. But I think lying is super useful! x3

Kantian's would say there is no justification in lying because you're using the person as a means and not as an end. Idk, I think I read that somewhere?

I hate lying. It makes me feel dirty. If someone lies to me, and I figure it out (which I usually do), then they immediately lose some respect and quite a bit of trust depending on the severity of the lie.

The only times in the last month or two I can remember straight-up lying were when someone came up to me on the street and started asking for money, and I told them I don't carry money while in the city. I had money...

However, if you call withholding the full truth to be lying then I actually do it often. I'm very good at telling someone the partial truth, so that I'm telling enough of the truth to be honest about it, but leaving out specific information that could cause an undesirable outcome.

I don't lie. I might joke around and say stupid stuff, but not lie. I'm not a very good liar anyways, so I can't even if I wanted to.

I have a problem that i cant tell a lie even if my life depended upon it. Doesn't mean i never done it. But its just not me and i suck at it. Have no plans to get better at it because i rather say it as it is. Dont like it thats the other persons problem.

i dont lie deciet is only acceptable in warlike sitations. To out match your opponennet you have to deceive him i.e the strength oof your army , how much area is really under your control and so forth . Or to save yoursel from harms way ive never had to do that though lieing to save myself from harms way. because what is harm really the spilling of blood or the breaking of bones? Or longevity in captivity.

How would it someone else's problem if you can't lie?

Rarely.

It's much more enjoyable to avoid the truth, until I pull the rug up from underneath you.

I should be a politician.
