Psycho-Pass: Makes me think of how the government can be in the future, because what happens in this anime could happen in real life.

Texhnolyze: Makes me think of the future of humanity, what will become of us, we will probably, eventually, disappear.

Angel Beats: It made me think of my life.

Angel Beats made me volunteer as an organ donor when I die. Texhnolyze made me devoid of emotion. Psycho-Pass made me want those "press a button" wardrobes. Though, a future with the Sibyl System would be shit.

Angel Beats made me do the same thing! lol

Probably a few, or at least I hope they did.

This Is about the only one that has, but worth saying

Pandora hearts made me a real deep thinker when watching this, thinking about what happens when getting so depressed that you make contract with chain

A lot of anime make me think of the future. Sometimes my reality can't live up to my dreams. Anime has helped me bridge the gap because some of the concepts they talk about really influence my life and how I will someday live it. The future can wait but knowing needs to happen now.

If I had to pick one anime that made me think about my future it would be Honey and Clover. As someone who just graduated college I can certainly relate to a lot of the "what do I do now" type of situations that arose.

As a side note, I'm currently working on a (light) novel too! I hope yours is coming along well

Oh so many.
I could list so many.
But for now, I'll just say

1. Bakuman
Explained a lot of things about the industry to me, and despite all the hardship they go through, it strengthened my resolve. That one chapter where Mashiro and Shujin go out for fun, but come back realizing they never have the time to enjoy themselves, and their hands are always stained with ink, and they prefer it that way? That chapter made such an impact on me, in that moment, those two were so cool that even though it's hard, I followed their example so I could be a pretentious butt and pretend I'm living that way. :I I'm not. I'm not cool enough.

2. Telling Through the Colors
3. Kakukaku Shikajika

Both of which just re-enforced that initial ~WOW~ I experienced in Bakuman.

The end of Berzerk. Just made me crawl up in a ball and question everything I still can't accept what happened.

If you want to learn how to make a great story learn from Tagashi even though he takes a lot of breaks. The hunter x hunter series was phenomenal and don't make things predictable makes the stories great when you don't expect things.

Space Brothers, Planetes, RD Sennoushitsu, Robotics;Notes, .hack//, Sword Art Online (Especially).

There are a few near future animes with a closer to plausible plot that make me consider what direction the development of technology should take. Cowboy Bebop is also another one. What is pretty unique about these animes as opposed to other Sci-Fi animes is that other Sci-FI animes tend to also branch into the occult or magic. Essentially impossible stuff. Those animes on the other hand are grounded in technology, meaning that even if something may in fact be discovered to be impossible, there is still hope.

I will always complain about the plot of SAO. But that is sort of because SAO feels to me like a Hollywood adaptation of a great novel. By that I don't mean the SAO LN were great, but rather that the whole story feels like someone took something very interesting and intricate, and dumbed it down to appeal to the masses. What is significant to me about SAO though, (which is why I am also very disappointed) is that the structure of the world, and the structure of the games are extremely intriguing. There is a lot to build off of, and it often leaves me thinking about how games should progress.

As far as simply the future goes, there is Legend of the Galactic Heroes. It quite intricately portrays the difficulties between ideals and practicalities, between a benevolent dictatorship and a corrupt democracy. About ambitions and the next generation. It's quite a philosophical anime and makes me think about where the world in itself may be heading.

I always thought about this for a couple of weeks now. SAO and AOT made me think about humanity's future, especially Akira the classic anime film.

There are about a bazillion shows that I can think of in regards to what I think about my future and the future of the world. It's quite tough to keep track of things here, but the one show that made me really think about it is Sword Art Online. The thought about playing virtual reality games is really enticing here, except that I just want to play in it, not live in it like the characters of SAO ended up doing. Reki Kawahara's other show in Accel World also had me thinking about the future, and just how great it would be to slow down time for yourself by accelerating the brain.

One other show that had me thinking about the future is Genshiken. While it is all fun and stuff with the club, the characters will have to grow up at some point and move onto other things. I have been struggling with my career choices, so I think of that show in relation to that.
