The 2nd season started great! I can't wait to see the 3 coolest members in the rest of the season. UmiXHonoka already dominated the 1st episode.

And anyone know how this English speaker can find out who the most popular girls of u's are?

I marathoned the first season this past week to get ready for this second season. Loved it and the first episode of this season.

Nico is best girl.

That said while I am normally all for yuri pairings, I never really got yuri vibes from any of the girls, except for Nozomi(for fairly obvious reasons). So to say it was quite a surprise to see people shipping the girls is an understatement.

Same. I'm quite a proficient yuri shipper and Maki and Nico were two of my favorite girls from the show, but them as a yuri pairing never even crossed my mind. (Not that I'm against it.)

They have polls now and then but they change over time.

You will know the real numbers today soon once the sales figures of the Memorial Box II Solo Live! sales are up though they could change a bit as stragglers come in over the next few weeks. Presales had Eli, Maki and Kotori quite high with Hanayo, Rin and Nozomi quite low but we will see the numbers soon.

The all of u's Boxes sold very well and is what I got:

Makes you wonder whether the side groups affect popularity at all. Maki, Eli and Nico are all in BiBi, which is borderline unfair imho. Meanwhile, Lily White has Rin, Umi and Nozomi... which doesn't have the same impact at all.

Also, wonder if that's going to play into the show at all. I can't see them doing anything with the subgroups; seems to be against the whole 'one last hurrah as a group' tone they set in the first episode here... but then again... who knows...

The three mini groups were all but forgotten until the new singles came out. Eli Maki and Nico are tough to best though.

By sales of Memorial Box II Solo Live! the popularity is as expected:

28 Eli 3928
31 Maki 3498
37 Kotori 3066
41 Umi 2779
44 Honoka 2491
47 Nico 2361
52 Hanayo 2063
53 Rin 1933
59 Nozomi 1807

Up there in price? Actually the individual albums are cheap for Japanese music, 2000 yen for an album! 12-15 songs, 55-65 minutes. Not much more than a super single which has 2-4 songs usually for 1200 yen.

The box itself is 18000 yen but that's for 9 albums so you get the box and booklet as a bonus basically and in fact the albums are a little over 2000 yen, 2060 yen or so which means the box is also a big cheaper than buying all 9. I got a bonus mousepad with mine too. With Mimori's album Sukitte:

They're on iTunes now too, Japan at least.

Yea, i meant the entire set haha. Individually they're cheap but seeing those extra goods you get with the set makes me more inclined to go for that. Always nice to have bonuses.

Now to take another look at my savings...

I suppose that's one way to get some people interested in math.

Yeah it is out of print and long sold out. Box and booklet are missed if you buy them individually and the box was in fact cheaper than buying the nine discs separately. I got the bonus mousepad too.

For all imports, preorder is the way.

I'll have to keep that in mind for the future. I'm deciding which CDs I definitely want to import. Anything else, I'll just grab individual tracks on iTunes.
