I prefer underground music, cause most of the songs in this genre are more meaningful vs mainstream music, which is all bland and nothing more than dance music over and over again.

There's shitty underground music, there's good mainstream music, there's good underground music, there's shitty mainstream music.

Have you even heard most of the mainstream shit they play on the stations? Its like they're running outta ideas or something. What happened to good music like the beastie boys and s club 7? I especially hate robin thicke and one direction the most. They're a sorry excuse to be even called "artists".

Then you really haven't heard good artists like the fray, linkin park, plumb, and lana del ray. If eminem was here, then one direction would be dissed so hard, they'd cry like babies lol.

I'm literally dying LOL

Almost all of the artists you listed were popular at one point, or are still fairly popular today.

If your definition of underground music is Linkin Park and Eminem, you're wrong

I personally listen to both. I think both Mainstream and underground have it's good and bad music. I'm very open minded, so yea. I mean, I listen to so many different music genres, from different parts of the world! I literally love music.

Dude, at least eminem doesn't rap about sex and girls. Have you even heard the fray or plumb?

Yes I have.

And Eminem raps about killing people and putting them in car trunks, clearing he's a better role model.

But don't forget that he's suffered a lot as a kid. He grew up in a messed up family, so I can understand where his hatred comes from. And you're wondering why I hate 50cent and those stupid mainstream rappers.

Its not okay, but at least he doesn't care how other people think of him, and he can make his own decisions.

Since we're using Eminem as an example, you may want to take a look at why he's actually famous: He's respected for his "flow", not the quality of his lyrics. If you don't know what that means, it means people like him for the way his music sounds, not what it means. He's basically an instrumental artist who's main instruments are his vocal cords.

Exactly. At least he has some sort of talent. One direction doesn't even know how to sing properly. Period.

oh dear lord, i can't even..

Eminem is FAMOUS. You're just complaining that people you view as "talentless" manage to be famous alongside people you view as talented, not comparing relatively unknown artists to the the famous ones.

This thread is moot.
