Not often. Only just before I do something risky.

I back up some of my music. Other than that, I'm with the lazy people.

I've got six PCs in the house and none of them are backed up save for a few personal files.

Most don't need it since it'd be about as quick to re-install the OS and one or two programs as it would be to restore a backup.

I really should keep a full back up of my main PC and my PFsense box though.

External hard drives, system images; still when ever I back it up, things get knocked off the desk.

Not usually. Only if I think I am about to mess something up.

Not too much... Most all the music I have is from my own library of CDs and albums, (yes, vinyl ones), so I don't worry about that...
Anime... If I don't have it on DVD I burn it on DVD, that's if I feel it's worth seeing a second time or so.... If I can stream it why burn it?
I do have certain downloads/programs/apps. burnt to DVD but most of the time I can go on line and get newer better stuff so I don't worry much about that either....

I think I might have a couple folders of stuff on a cloud but .... most of the stuff I have isn't really important enough to back-up....

Yes - many, many backups.

Lets see, for critical files (such as school files for the current semester - things I can't afford to lose) I have two incremental onsite backups and one that backs-up updated files every 15 minutes on-site. Then I also have the same files backed up to Microsoft Onedrive, Amazon Cloud Drive, and Google Drive with about 20 minutes from changes. There's also another online backup that is every 4 or so hours, but it's mostly there as a backup backup because it's kind of slow.

Less critical files are backed up less aggressively - mostly onsite and to Onedrive and Google Drive because they have more space.

Some files - such as games and programs I don't even bother backing up because I can just reinstall them, and losing them temporarily won't cause me much trouble.

I do also perform a full clone of my OS drive twice a month to external drives, so that in the event of catastrophic failure of my SSD I could be up and running again within 10-20 minutes (instead of a day to reinstall everything). These ones are just the OS drive (my documents and everything are on other drives), and they are just regular 500GB HDDs that I store in a case and only attach when updating them - or recovering from them if it ever comes to that.

So yeah, I back up.

As the title states, do you back up your computer? If you do, what method do you rely on? If you do not, explain why.

I have three external hard drives that I use for backups coordinated by time machine. Even if one drive fails, I still have backups on two other drives, not including my laptop. For me, losing 11,000 songs, 400 gigs of anime, and the other files on my computer would be a HUGE problem.

I keep my music, videos, and photos on my OneDrive. Nothing else is backed up. Using Windows 7's library feature lets me set each library to a folder that is synced with OneDrive, so I get automatic backups to the cloud.

I stopped backing it up years ago. It wanted to go out and drink and pick fights with any and everyone, so now, I let it just get the shit kicked out of itself. It has got to learn to stop relying upon me to save its ass and act like an adult.

If by "back up" you mean saving everything on OneDrive, then yeah, I guess so. I have literally my entire technological existence on OneDrive. Music, pictures, documents, everything.

Of course, I also don't have anything of utmost importance on my computer, like legal files or something.
