I completed it today after playing on and off since before christmas. i've never really been one to violently play a game until its finished. but yeah. i thought it was amazing. the only annoying thing was the AI's choice of familiars during battle. could be a little on the useless side.

anyone else enjoyed this game? opinions?

I enjoyed it. I liked the story, setting, sound, and visuals but I would have liked more exploration.

After you get through the 4 hours of tutorial in the beginning it starts to pick up, but I agree the AI was horrible. I would love to see more games come from Studio Ghibli. :3

I bought a PS 3 basically just for Ni No Kuni and really enjoyed the game. I played through to the end of the story, but never went back in to do that extra stuff that opens up once you've beaten the last story boss.

As for the AI, yeah, not that great, but then AI in games usually make bad choices.

Very, very pretty little game. I thought the story was a little silly but I enjoyed it overall.

I played it to the point where i almost got all the trophies but stopped at the alchemy part ( 4 trophies left). Overall it was one of the best Jrpgs I had the pleasure of playing

One of the only games I enjoyed enough to bother going for platinum trophy.

That game was great i loved everything about it. I just wish they had more missions to do after you beat the game. maybe a couple dlc mission packs. I liked the fact i could use the japanese dub too. I hope there is a sequel or a new ps4 game from Studio Ghibli soon. Also the animation on that jump is just so majestic. Its actually not pointless too i noticed it can help going down stairs quicker.

is it worth buying? it's on sale in PS store, for around 46NOK (7.6 USD).
but I didn't find this game's combat system interesting or good, well i have only watched videos of it though.
For the story I have no idea what it is about.

Also should i buy "Tales of Xillia" or "Tales of graces f"? (can only afford one of those at the moment.)

I haven't played Tales of Graces F, but I can say that Tales of Xillia was a lot of fun. There will be a Tales of Xillia 2 coming out near the end of the year, so you may want to play the first one before the sequel comes out.

Finished it and really enjoyed it. Another Level-5 RPG you might try is "White Knight Chronicles". Despite the reviews, I really enjoyed it. I have WKC2 but haven't gotten very far into it.

Oh, and I also agree with xeneria that "Tales of Xillia" is fun. That was the last JRPG that I completed. I've got "Tales of Xillia 2" reserved and can't wait.

Already downloading "Tales of Xillia" :D

Is "Ni no kuni" worth buying despite the boring looking combat system? It is the only thing keeping me from buying it.

I finished the story about four months ago; but I'm still doing the after story side quests.

I say that it is worth picking up. I think the combat is pretty good for JRPG standards. Plus its got a really good story with plenty of side quests.
