When I think Manly Tears I think of:

That said, I don't think I have ever been so moved by an Anime that I had rivers of tears flowing from my eyes. That is even having watched most of what others said have made them bawl like little babies.

Now I have teared up over many Anime, like Angel Beats, Clannad, Steins;Gate, Anohana, Ef, Grave of the Fireflies, etc etc.

The last two episodes of Gunbuster get me teary-eyed every time. Plus, it seems to get worse with every viewing and I know that one day it will have me full out bawling!

I've actually become quite the crybaby when it comes to emotional stories, so I'm not sure whether my tears can be called very manly anymore... if they ever were that to begin with.

But... here's some anime that made me cry somewhat recently:

Little Busters! Refrain
Gintama
Sunday Without God
Arpeggio of Blue Steel
Kyousougiga
The World God Only Knows
Space Brothers
Nagi no Asukara

...Yeah, I cry at the drop of a hat. /noshame

I have yet to encounter anyone who enjoyed Clannad/After Story that did not cry. I filled a few buckets watching all the Key stuff (Kanon, Air, Little Busters, etc). Heck, I just finished Tari Tari and shed a few tears. I destroyed a pillow with tears on White Album 2.

And I LOVE those shows!

High Drama, love story, stuff will get me hooked every time.

Of course I cried watching Teekyu, but that's for a different reason. My sides hurt just thinking about Teekyu

also, there's no such thing as "manly tears". you either cry or you don't, and there's nothing wrong with crying if you're a man.

Agreed, it's part of being human. My tearjerker anime would be Anohana. There was so much build-up towards the ending.

I also started watching Kanon 2006..good chance I'll cry at some point in that.

Blast of Tempest. This show makes me cry manly tears no matter how many times I watch it.

Those manly tears came out and emanated an aura of sadness when I watched Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. If you have watched it, then you know what I am talking about.

Code Geass.

Didn't really feel that manly but I'm not embarrassed about it - at all.

Yeah that's right, no shame. I mean, who can blame you? Between the badass moments in Code Geass, I was really depressed and sad. It was just a depressing anime for me, and I'm not ashamed to say that I cried/teared up a few times while watching it

Gintama.

Every few episodes something would happen to make manly tears come forth. ;)
