I don't like the "free for a limited time, pay for back titles" model ... when Funico had that model, I was never able to keep up with the free streaming, and then moved onto something else I could watch rather than pay to catch up.

Fortunately for us, NicoNico.com was just charging a token amount (25 cents) and didn't last long enough to start charging real money.

Once the Funico joint venture came about, even that was made irrelevant, since as I recall the streams on Funimation didn't have that limitation.

Yes, I may have the chronology of that reversed, it may be NicoNico I was talking about. I never bothered paying the $0.25 for the beta, since I didn't want to encourage them to roll the model out in full with a real subscription price.

Sadly, that isn't likely to happen.

Funimation has it, and the only two shared simulcasts with CR from its publisher (Kadokawa) were simulcasts of sequels to series CR originally simulcast and Funimation later licensed (and in the second case, Funimation originally announced they would also simulcast, but never followed through). In both those cases, CR was also the first to announce the simulcast.

I want Date A Live II, but it looks like Funimation will be the only one this time.
