You mean Love Live?

How can you not love them? They are happy and funny shows that don't require you to think about anything but just enjoy them. Can really brighten up a dull day and make you smile. After watching somethign dark like Kill La Kill, Love Live brought me back into the real world xD And it makes for a nice change of pace; to be laughing happy tears instead of crying sad ones ;.;

kill la kill= dark? i think you mean like mirai nikki

They show a unique situation with unique characters and reactions and happy feelings all around. They are pretty "feel good."

Generally, because whether or not someone likes My Ordinary Life / Nichijou has replaced strapping them to a chair and dunking them in a river as a way to discern if they are a soulless monstrosity stalking the earth in the mere visage of Man, or if they are distinguished noble souls of most impeccable breeding.

No don't imagine this, it's a horrible comparison :P

Ah, then imagine yourself watching Eva, Bleach, School Days, Queen's Blade, Boku no Pico, Grave of the Fireflies, and Cardfight Vangard (in that order) all day, every day.

The horror O.O
You'd be psychologically crippled T_T

They find it appealing for whatever that reason may be to them.

Because the vast majority of humanity leads an uninteresting, boring life, and only by filling that void with the somewhat impossible escapades of the few "interesting" and "real" people allows them to accept their meaningless existence for a few seconds more.

You'd hate to be a part of mine. My mother's been arrested, my sisters nearly suffered international abduction (twice), medical expenses have left me in a debt that would take my lifetime to pay off, my father is mentally deteriorating to the point that he can't speak or swallow, and I was born with a heart that isn't as large as it should be (it's genetic) thus making most physical activities tiring despite suffering no pain or shortness of breath. Everyone on my father's side also suffered from cancer (I'll have to look into that if the hospital will let me)

My childhood was very on-the-go due to the ill intentions of a selfish and abusive step father.

Boring everyday life is a beautiful gem. A charm in this scarred and distraught world.

I was being sarcastic. Still...is it wrong to say that would make an interesting anime?

BECAUSE!!! Unlike Naruto and stuff, people don't argue much about slice of life. We can shut the f%^# up and watch the anime while others are too busy SCREAMING INTO EACH OTHERS EARS who's stronger, Naruto or Sasuke, or whatever they even say, I don't care. Not interested in that anymore.

While action and stuff gets you pumped up while it's playing, slice of life makes you happy in the long run.

The main reason I like Slice-of-Life shows is that I find everyday human behavior fascinating for whatever reason. I just get this enjoyment out of seeing characters enjoying their lives. I like watching more serious dramas or action shows as well, but like other people have said, I find it nice to get away from all of that sometimes.

And I wouldn't associate popular Slice-of-Life shows with fanservice. Last I checked, Silver Spoon was a relatively popular Slice-of-Life with little if any fanservice.

My avatar? It's from episode 3 of Saki Zenkoku-hen (I took various chunks of the one minute match against some unimportant character that you never see again.)
