im being pretty general so i didnt put this in comics. but like this guy was not a forefront character in marvel or cartoons or anything. he's pretty boring too. isn't weird how people can change their favorite so fast just from a movie? he's still pretty boring btw. so comment about thor or just in general how people can say somethings their favorite so fast

Thor isn't my favorite. It typically isn't actually someones favorite, the people themselves may think so but it's actually kind of like an urge. That's my guess anyway.

LOKI... for life.

Never thought Thor was all that great. I do like him a tiny bit more because of the movies but my favorite has always been Iron Man since way before the movies. In an odd way his alcoholism problem just always made him more appealing. Like a bit more on a regular persons level since it's a very common issue.

Actually... Loki is my favorite, and not just because of Tom Hiddleston...
The way Loki's character is portrayed with his emotions and intentions so very clear, his story is just amazing while Thor's is kinda boring in comparison. Thor is that kid who had it all and didn't have to do anything to get it, he just kinda got it, while Loki had to actually work for it and was still denied it.

Thor isn't "everybody's" favorite character. Nonetheless, a single rendition of any given character can change people's outlook of the character in general, or they may entirely focus on the version they like. For example, I couldn't care less about Thor until I saw the first of the recent movies, and I now only care about Chris Hemsworth's portrayal as Thor. The actor's performances and scripts make a big difference, for me. Same thing with my opinions of Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Tom Hiddleson as Loki, Wesley Snipes as Blade, and Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man.

Was going to say this in your previously deleted post but Robert Downey Jr. doesn't portray Iron Man. He is Iron Man.

Seriously I wouldn't think twice if he started flying around in an Iron Man suit for real. He is perfect for that role. >_>

That is so true. I've only read some of the Thor comics, and I did enjoy some of the characters. Like Loki and even Laufey, of all villians. All except Thor. I don't think the new Thor is boring - I'm actually diggin' the whole Chris Hemsworth Thor. ^_^ And Tom Hiddleston Loki, most of all!

I absolutely hated the movie version of Laufey, though. He didn't feel Scandinavian enough.
