Usopp from one piece. He is the only character on the whole show that make me want to stop watching ever time he gets some screen time. I love one piece . I've got the DVD collections and I've watched the ALL the episodes multiply times but I fricking hate him soooo much. To me his character is so useless. He is kinda like that filler arc that continuous animes always have that comes right when the anime is getting to the good part and nobody wants to watch it or enjoys it. He is weak, cowardly, annoying, and a liar. Unlike all the other characters who actually have some sustenance. I wish that Oda would get rid of him for good . The anime would be 100x better

Kei from ef: A Tale of Memories.

I despised her from the moment she first opened her mouth! She was so pushy and irritating!

From a more recent anime I really disliked Kaname from Nagi no Asukara. He just rubbed me the wrong way up until the last four or so episodes. He wasn't so bad in the end though. I'm probably gonna get a lot of hate for that one!

Instead of Suzaku, I'd say Nina and Rolo from Code Geass are 10 times worse. They have my vote!

Not even jealous. He's just a complete idiot with the worst timing imaginable. The fact that he's not even aware he's ruining all those scenes just makes it worse.

I'm another one who can't understand all the Suzaku hate. He's the most morally complex character in the series: he wants to be good, but the setting won't allow him to. Suzaku's driving motivation is his contempt for the kind of shallow 'end justifies the means' philosophy that Lelouch advocates. Suzaku tries to do the most upright thing he can do right now. The reason he switches sides so much is because there's nobody else in the series who can match his morals. He's looking for the least douchey side and trying to help them out, but in the end, almost everyone with power in Code Geass is a terrible person to some degree. He can't devote himself to a cause because none of the causes in play are worth it, so he ends up just bouncing around are trying his best to do the right thing. I consider him to be among the most honourable characters in the series, and certainly more worthy of respect than Lelouch.

Suzaku rant aside, characters I can't stand from anime that I really like include:

Black Star (Soul Eater). Ugh. Most people hate on Excalibur, but personally, I find him so charmingly annoying that I can't help but grin whenever he shows up. No, it's Black Star who makes me cringe. He's basically an angrier, more self-absorbed Naruto. His 'can-do' attitude is admirable, but it so easily slips into 'can't-fail' that he ends up just making an ass of himself time and time again. He's like a pro wrestler: if you fight him, you're gonna get hurt, but he's impossible to take seriously because he won't shut up about it.

Ayase (OreImo). I don't understand how she has such a large fanbase. I just find her close-minded, controlling, and downright psychotic. There's nothing attractive to me about trying to dictate peoples' decisions and threatening them with violence (or actually using violence) if they try to do something else. I love yanderes, but only in darker stories where they actually end up making a corpse or two and you get to see their psychological breakdowns. I don't think they have a place in a more lighthearted drama like this one.

Kiritsugu (Fate/Zero). He kind of grew on me later due to his flashbacks and extra attention, but in the end, I liked Kotomine better. Why? Because Kotomine is presented as the villain he is (and he's glorious at it!). In contrast, despite doing equally despicable things during the course of the series, Kiritsugu is presented in a way that encourages the audience to sympathize with him. He's the type of character that I prefer to see on the sidelines, where he can be a comfortable dark grey. I'm not a fan of antiheroes, and this guy takes the antihero archetype up to eleven.

Kagenui (Nisemonogatari). Okay, so, this is someone who can tell somebody that it's not right to force your opinions on others, while beating him into a pulp - all so that she can go on to kill his sister for nothing other than the fact that she's a (harmless) apparition - and seemingly see nothing wrong with that. I can't relate to or approve of her rigid way of thinking. She redeems herself in the end for allowing herself to be talked down, rather than accepting only defeat in combat as a reason to back off as I expected her to, showing that she doesn't think purely in absolutes, but her might-makes-right attitude up to that point is deplorable nonetheless.

The running trend here is, of course, that I strongly dislike characters who think its okay to simply intimidate or force people into doing things, regardless of the goal. I don't like the kind of attitude that, when confronted with legitimate or at least entertainable reasons to do things differently, just shrugs and says "Make me."

I don't really think Suzaku is a bad person. His general personality just really got under my skin for whatever reason.

Well -- funnily enough I dislike most all the main/side cast of Code Greass. For one reason or another. They bother me.

But I love the anime.

No clue how that is.

I kinda liked Suzaku, does that make me a bad person?

Anyway, Sayaka Miki from Madoka, I just cant sympathise or relate to her in any way.
