Why do you like anime and why are you using CR to watch your anime on?

I use CR because it's one of the few video streaming services in Sweden where there's anime. Also bc anime in Sweden isen't cheap and I'd rather pay a monthly subscription then pay 60$ for one movie ... Even tho I have a few movies.

The graphics.

It's kinda rare nowadays to watch something that has a plot. I'm just throwing out a number here but I think at least 90% of the anime surrounds on high school, and it gets old on me. Most of the powered characters are gifted and can fully decimate an adult person in less than 3 seconds. I'm not complaining. It's obvious what is the target audience and the implications of being passionate and savoring youth.

For some reason, I didn't like Hikari no Go.

And, Bleach sucks.

I can't argue whit that, Bleach does infact suck!

But aren't you a bit harsh on anime? There's a lot of anime that isn't centered around high school.

I'm just throwing numbers. But I'm right on one thing, the anime is mostly centered on youth. Not a lot of people want to see Grandpa Time or Mid Crisis Dad do action stunts, fall in love, or chitchat. Nobody complains about Cougar Moms as long as she has round firmed tits and ass.

I honestly have no idea anymore. Maybe because I thought it was cool and different at some point but now... It seems more like an excuse for me to not get off the computer.

Only seen one anime on Crunchyroll, and that was before I was even registered. I've seen somewhere between 30 and 40 animes otherwise.

I actually signed up to make more anime friends.

Anime itself I watch as an artist because it's much cheaper to display new ideas in this format, as opposed to film. Kind of like how home video cameras and Youtube changed what we know as visual content. You get lots and lots of crap - but also gems that never would have seen the light of day otherwise.

There is literally NOTHING else to watch. Australian TV networks (except SBS) are so obsessed with importing American TV shows over here.

(I have absolutely nothing against American shows, in fact I love Fringe and Once Upon a time, but seriously do we need freaking all free-to-air channels amassed with nothing but American tv shows? Like the Bachelor's Chow or Desperate Housesluts?) Why can't they (Aus TV networks) make their own shows? and use people in Australia for Australians' entertainment? Why do they feel the need to import 99% of American shows here? [rhetorical question, I know the reason, because they make money])

Therefore anime provides me variety. But even with anime, I can only like one or two shows PER SEASON. 80% of the shows per season are stupid, clichéd and made with intent to be a money-making machine, rather than for artistry and diversity. Like what is up with stupid high school setting and mecha and stuff...? DO we really need more of the same type of things over and over.

Honestly, the only channel I watch in Australia is SBS. They import stuffs FROM EVERYWHERE; France, Sweden, Netherlands, Japan, USA, Canada, Germany, Thailand, kazakhstan, Israel, Korea etc etc.

Just because people are too lazy to read the subtitles... doesn't mean they need to shove American shows down everyone's throat. It's so annoying.

Escapism. Pure and simple.

I choose CR as I'm not precious about owning physical media anymore. It's much more convenient and timely compared to Blu-ray and DVD shopping, the catalogue is extensive and the site provides ready access to a focused community of fans.

Feel free to use that statement in your marketing copy Crunchyroll staff!

Animation in general gives producers a unique opportunity to be fanciful and creative with their work in a way that can't quite be achieved with live action. I like fanciful and creative things.

It's also interesting to see what other cultures produce for entertainment. It's often quite different than what you see on local TV.

Why anime in particular? Well, to be honest, I like the general style of Japanese animation. It's visually appealing to me.

Why Crunchyroll? Because it's a legal streaming service, videos are high quality, and I've come to like the community here.

It appeals to my imagination. It's also something I grew up watching so I naturally gravitate towards anime as opposed to regular TV shows.

I know that feel... Swedish TV Networks always imports shows from the UK and US.
