Why do you enjoy and watch anime?
Because it gives me something to escape to when life has me stressed. Before I used to watch anime to help cope with depression but now I just use it as a stress reliever. There's nothing better than coming home from class than catching up some of the shows in my queue.
Why do you use Crunchyroll?
I use CR because the options on Netflix started to dwindle and stagnate.

Most Swedish TV networks allows you to choose if you want subtitles or not (also what language). Also, about 90% of the Swedish population speak English.

For the story and characters.

I honestly don't know the answer to that. I grew up with it, so it's like my Saturday Morning cartoons. But never fleeting, and always there. xD It's always been apart of me, I suppose.

thanks for the info

that's good to know, so I don't have to worry about... language barriers when I go to Sweden for a holidays this year or next year.

I watch anime for the worlds created, the plot, the characters, the animation, EVERYTHING. I think it's a replacement for the entertainment on today. I'm sorry America, some of the shows you have are pretty good, but no one really needs reality TV. Well at least I don't. What makes it better, is that its on all the time. (sarcasm)

I use CR for the forums and the anime. I do use hulu sometimes, but it can be QUITE annoying.

I love to watch anime because it helps me to get away from the world I live in. Anime goes over the top in terms of entertainment and takes you places that most TV series and movies do not or have not gone. I guess in short I watch it because it reaches me on a level that nothing else does.

I watch anime 'cuz it's weird and I'm addicted to that weirdness. I tend to enjoy things that I don't take for granted.

That my friend, is a damn good question. It is sort of like watching what is on television but animated, with more out of boundary concepts. For instance, like the action, visuals, genres and etc, which is not seen too much in RL, but with small amount of ideals, morals, etc of RL (slice of life). OH, I also like to "get inside" of the creators head a bit, and see what was the purpose of the anime/manga etc. What the person/people creating the anime/manga were thinking/expressing, or to try and analyze what they want the viewers/readers to think about. There is surprisingly a lot concepts of cinema (sociological, psychological, etc) that are done in anime/manga. For example, lets say a scene of an anime a character starts to walk inside of a room which is dark, and due to the darkness is unable to see anything. This character continues forward and goes deeper and deeper until a sort of figure of a person appears, and then the whole room lights up. That scene portrays an abundance of concepts, ideas or etc.

idk tbh i started watching it 'cuz i liked the awesome OSTs... anime has some of the best soundtracks really.

CR is legal, has the option of HD, and get a lot of shows. And it's affordable. They've even added classics (which I hope they continue to do).

Aside from the obvious magnificent/amazing/wickedly awesome animation and voice actors/actresses.....

Learning japanese from it and being entertained at the same time is one of the thing...reasons...
